The K-Pop industry continues its outstanding rise to fame. If BTS are the flagship of the genre, more groups are proving to be incredibly popular, with one of the hottest of them being the all-female band Blackpink.
Last year, they dropped their first entire album, but they have been releasing very popular songs and mini albums for several years. How much have they sold up to date?

Already ahead of Little Mix, with their 17 million equivalent album sales Blackpink are comfortably the biggest female group on the planet right now.
With one fourth of the quartet, Lisa, releasing her first single album next week, expect to keep hearing about the group. In spite of their healthy sales, it feels like they are just getting started.
Singles CSPC results
The list is compiled in album equivalent sales generated by each song. Therefore, these figures are not merged units of singles formats. One of my fav girl groups in Kpop
Never seen a worse record label than yg , who doesn’t even give them one album every year. They sell albums like boy bands, globally only 2nd to BTS in name recognition. Huge stream stats. Each girl is marketable as hell. They also seem happy with this process tbh. But label is happy with them making coins from deals. At this point they can pull a worldwide arena ( stadiums in asia ) tour and beat all tour records. But their label is sleeping.
Doubt they are happy about it, just slave to their contracts until they can renegotiate. But yes yg are the worst, they got a girl group phenomenon comparable to spice girls back then and doing nothing with it, any label would be milking the hell out of this group
Whenever I try to use this same formula for Twice for weighted physicals and streams, the number is always over 18M. I use available Gaon, Oricon, RIAJ for physicals, and Spotify, Genie, AWA and YouTube for audio and video streams.
Their total could be around 15-20m. As a once, 18m seems high. 17m seems accurate
Why don’t you add Apple Music & Pandora Streams? why don’t they configure an API like they did in QQ, these platforms have many active users, the difference would be huge in the final result
How does ‘As If It’s Your Last’ have 1.6B Streams in QQMusic? even adding all the “14 Music Video” I still wouldn’t reach these numbers, how do you have access to the exact amount on the platform?
I’m very confused with the numbers presented.
There is no boot news on MelOn, can you clarify why platform streams are not counted?
how can you prove that MelOn streams are not valid?
They already explained genie numbers are consistent when extrapolated with gaon, there is no need to add melon. And they are definitely more misleading than genie nowadays, some songs have well over 100m streams there and no gaon certification
how do you get access to QQ Music Streams?
Hi, I just wanted to clear a question, when do Global Streams Updates come out? (YouTube, Spotify and QQMusic?) really wanted to see the updated BLACKPINK Streams on QQMusic
Hello! I have a question regarding video streams. Do you count guest performances on late night shows like Jimmy Fallon, fancams, choreography, as part of video streams?
They do. Not sure about the Jimmy Fallon one. But they also include lyric videos.
they dont count from YT alone they use YouTube music charts
