CSPC Blackpink albums and songs sales

The K-Pop industry continues its outstanding rise to fame. If BTS are the flagship of the genre, more groups are proving to be incredibly popular, with one of the hottest of them being the all-female band Blackpink.

Last year, they dropped their first entire album, but they have been releasing very popular songs and mini albums for several years. How much have they sold up to date?

Already ahead of Little Mix, with their 17 million equivalent album sales Blackpink are comfortably the biggest female group on the planet right now.

With one fourth of the quartet, Lisa, releasing her first single album next week, expect to keep hearing about the group. In spite of their healthy sales, it feels like they are just getting started.

Singles CSPC results

The list is compiled in album equivalent sales generated by each song. Therefore, these figures are not merged units of singles formats. Instead, it includes weighted sales of the song’s physical single, download, ringtone and streaming as well as its share among sales of all albums on which it is featured.

can you do one with TWICE?

I just have noticed in the table “blackpink song sales” – it shows that Ice Cream had 0 physical sales, but Ice Cram was released as a single and they were selling cd’s so why physical sales of it are not shown ?

Last edited 2 months ago by Aivaras

It never came out on CD from what I’ve seen. Do you have any source for this claim?

It was only released for downloading and streaming (?)

Ice cream never had a cd release, only how you like that did

Find me

How can you count twice for colaboration song it will double count …like ice cream BP colab selena gomez and many other colab song …you must count with devide with ratio part of each singer

Is this worldwide or just in korea?

Hi alex!
All numbers here are global

Also may I ask why Whistle – DDU-DU DDU-DU download figures are so low? They have five songs that surpassed more than 2,500,000 digital downloads in Korea (Whistle, Playing With Fire, AIIYL, D4, Forever Young).. Are they not included? or maybe discounted?

Oh… Thanks for the clarification! Keep up the good work <3

What does real downloads mean?
Also I think you should include MelOn since groups like Blackpink don’t have many bots in South Korea, they’re more relevant to boygroups. Is there not a way to remove bot streams with unique listeners somehow?

What they mean with “real downloads” is paid downloads. The post-end of 2017 dls are not fully paid, but gotten unlimitedly for free with a subscription.

Nevertheless, MelOn still includes millions of bot streams. You guys just want inflated CSPC results

theres bot streams on every streaming service, you sound mad.

Thank you MJD! I was trying to say why it’s better to use Genie because it filters bot streams much better. I don’t trust MelOn anymore, only sometimes.

Hi! You can use both MelOn and Genie streaming figures, MelOn (South Korea’s biggest online music provider) started disclosing song streaming figures starting from December last year.

MelOn and Genie streams vary so much, and I think it may be a nice addition to the criteria 🙂 This is BLACKPINK’s overall and individual stream figures on MelOn:

If you want to see other artists as well, try this website: (its in Korean so you may need to turn on google translate)

MelOn doesn’t filter streams at all, a lot of old songs have bot generated plays which leads into extremely high numbers (700M+ streams for a song), that’s why they don’t use it.

Thank you ❤️
will you do the Pussycat Dolls analysis?

are these figures reliable?

They are reliable.

You’re so smart

How You Like That has over 50 million views on QQMusic, while As If It’s Your Last has 23 million for example.

Why did you multiply one for 5 and the other for 50? How are you able to tell if it’s available for audio stream or not? all of the songs simply say available for vip users in my app.

Thank you so much!!!

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
