France Best Selling Albums Ever:
Update Part 7 (20-1)

#3 – 46,000 UNITS

Amy Winehouse – Back to Black (2006) : 1,345,000

Selling anything from 10,000 to 30,000 units in an outstanding result for a catalog album. With Amy Winehouse 2006 iconic album Back to Black we get into a new dimension, a record that moved the massive number of 46,000 units in 2016. Such sales were achieved with an extensive, discontinuous 52 weeks run in the Comprehensive Chart, by itself a true achievement for such a old album. It wasn’t only scratching into the Top 200, during 32 weeks it was comfortably Top 100, peaking at an incredible #26 position. The album has now peaked at #1 in 2007, #2 in 2008, #8 in 2009, #2 in 2011, #15 in 2012, #36 in 2013, #71 in 2014, #44 in 2015, #26 in 2016 and already #60 in 2017. If you wonder what happened in 2010, it was quite simply not eligible for charts at that point. Will it slow down anytime soon? Now that it is an absolute beast in LP format, which is growing fast, that’s all the more unlikely.
