And it overtook South Korea 2 years ago, as opposed to what Jake was saying ("Japan and South Korea the two biggest markets in Asia").

But most importantly this is based on revenue, so poorer countries are underrepresented. Success should be based on popularity and not revenue imo, and Taylor is hugely popular in a lot of highly populated countries with comparatively low GDP per capita. For comparison:

Japan $34k per capita
South Korea $33k
China $13k
Thailand $7k
Indonesia $5k
Vietnam $4k
Philippines $4k

The last 5 are obviously bigger markets than South Korea, just not in terms of revenue.

Speaking of Poland:

600k registered for the first Warsaw show prompting two additional nights

and she is now the first act to schedule three shows on a single tour at the PGE Narodowy

She is massive in India too. She can sell out one date of 130k stadium here, if she ever toured here. Her movie tickets are selling like hot cakes here! And we have swiftie nights and most of them r like from posh colonies.

India is an absolutely gigantic music market although it's largely dominated by local music as you probably know, western artists can't compete with them.

That said, 1.4 billion people means that even if an artist is only popular in like 20% of the country it still means a lot of people, and Taylor is definitely one of the biggest western artists there.

Are you sure you've never heard one? She is the biggest female artist at the moment

This subject shouldn't be so personal that you should feel the need to use a person's personal feeling on them. It's not a stanwar on here. If you have the numbers to backup your fave, that's enough.

I've seen pics of her and I've heard she's a recording artist, but I haven't heard anything consciously.

Oh my gosh! We've already had it here. I have absolutely nothing against her being so successful. But you seem to object to my openly admitting that I haven't consciously heard any of her recordings.

When asked the original question about whether Taylor Swift is successful in Europe, I only shared my personal experience that I had never consciously heard her. You would have to explain to me what constitutes trolling, provoking, insulting, etc. You seem to have a problem with people sharing their individual experiences that are different from yours. A good piece of advice:

Learn to respect other perspectives.

I respect that there are people who have had different experiences than me. That's exactly how you should do it too.

What will be the decade end totals ( by jan 2030)? If we assume she takes break etc. And eventual slow down of her streams and sales. .
Debut after tv can get a new life.
Debut 18 million
Fearless 30 million
Speak now 24
Red 33 million
1989 45 million ( 30 million already with updated pure sales)
Reputation 22 million
Lover 25 million
Folklore 20 million
Evermore 13 million
Midnights 22 million
These alone will take her over 250 million, with an average of 25 million per era for her first ten albums. No wonder her catalog is so valuable to her net worth

And I am sure she will release three more albums this decade. They are already hinting at ts11. Further more will depend on her next albums smashing. But she has catalog for generations. She had 80s and 90s gen as her first fanbase, but now genz is also part of her massive fanbase. Which ensures her longevity.

This would be a great achievement! Any idea how large her fanbase is at the moment?
