I Am… Sasha Fierce (2008) Era

If one look at Singles Chart history of Beyonce in France he will remain doubtful with I Am… Sasha Fierce singles. Single Ladies peaked at #68 in 2011, Halo at #53 in 2016. This is barely due to SNEP organization waiting way too long before including downloads among their Singles chart. As a consequence only If I Were A Boy, which was released as a CD single, had a proper chart run at the time, peaking at #5.

With the market collapsing and coming back from an unsuccessful era, I Am… Sasha Fierce struggled to move significant numbers. Moving 20-46 in its first two weeks, it wasn’t looking very good. Most singles got significant airplay yet as Beyonce was the 19th most played artist of 2009, the best year of her career. The album sold 32,000 units in 2008 and 49,000 in 2009 despite never breaking inside the Top 50 for the year. It remained a consistent seller ever since.
