Supertramp – Breakfast in America (1979) : 1 250 000

Here it is! Just a couple of spots ahead of The Very Best Of, this 1979 classic album Breakfast In America is still an incredible seller. In all fairness, the LP is slowing down. Inside the Comprehensive Chart, it charted 20 weeks in 2013, 15 weeks in 2014, 7 weeks in 2015 and only 2 weeks in 2016, peaking at #192. The weekly sales rate may be lower, the album continues to be perfectly capable of doing big returns. Its lower than usual catalog sales have more to do with sales distribution between all records than real slow down. In fact, Crime Of The Century outsold it this year as the main focus was put on that record. What’s next for 2017 ?
