Then I do not understand the "downside" comment and nobody is saying the numbers are exact but I doubt you'll find more accurate numbers anywhere else.

How is being 38th shameful, its still higher than thousands of other artists and what does it matter that subsequent acts end up more successful?

Led Zeppelin became more successful than The Who, Michael Jackson more successful than Stevie Wonder, Madonna more successful than Streisand, Metallica more successful than Van Halen, it happens Amber.

What is Britney's place in music history? As I have noticed her achievements are slowly disappearing from the main reference sources. I'm not a hater of hers, I'm a former fan very disappointed in her lack of career interest. The fans who remained loyal to her, see how they encourage her in all her publicly exposed madness. Does she really not realize that this kind of weird behavior is affecting her image? She always complains that she is traumatized by the past and that she doesn't want to release music again, meanwhile she displays the same behavior of a mentally deranged woman. I'm sick of her cheap theater played out on Instagram. If Madonna had victimized herself for the wave of hatred and discredit received from public opinion, she would now be far behind in her achievements. Britney sabotaged her career alone, instead she blames the media and her family, as if she were a saint. Britney had a chance to be with Prince William, but she missed that chance in favor of a loser like Federline who ruined it. You can defending her as much you want. I did the same like you...for many years... to finally figure out that she didn’t worth it. Britney is not about what she been, about what she is now, it’s about what could have been. She missed the chance to match Madonnas accomplishments first of all and the second she been defeated by some of her ex former fans. I don’t like looser people.

I'm not defending her, as said, I'm disagreeing with your reasoning etc.

"Weird behaviour", could this not be as a result of her mental health issues and affect her behaviour in a multitude of ways.

You seem pissed off at her, because she's not lived up to your expectations or done things how you wanted her to, which in my eyes, is pretty weird behaviour in itself. Attaching such personal attachment to a celebrity, who you have absolutely no personal attachment to, is not healthy in my opinion.

Britney is mentally ill and she doesn’t accept the fact. She keeps complaining about her past problems and blames everyone, except her. She doesn’t want to admit her own mistakes and learn something from it. Now I realize that without having the contributions of her parents she could never became a celebrity. Without someone like Max Martin she could never had successful songs. Britney could have achieved so much more if she would have focused more on career like Madonna did or Taylor Swift. That’s why I believe she is the biggest loser in the history of pop music...she started the career being compared with Madonna and she ended up surpassed in every single way by some female artists who showed up on music industry one decade after her debut.

"Britney is mentally ill and she doesn’t accept the fact." Amber, for God's sake, did it never cross your mind that perhaps her mental health issues might actually impair her judgement or even alter her perception of reality.

Maybe she doesn't learn from her mistakes, but maybe she has problems with learning from her mistakes or they are not even "mistakes", they are simply misjudgements/episodes etc brought on or about because of her condition.

These exchanges I'm having with you, you've not taken on board one thing I've said to you, each reply is just you justifying and reiterating your opinion on her, her life, her career, her failures, her flaws etc etc. You stated that she doesn't accept the fact she's ill, I'd say this is similar, you obviously can't see or accept the truth in all this, you can only see how you see it.

"Britney could have achieved so much more if she would have focused more on career like Madonna did or Taylor Swift. That’s why I believe she is the biggest loser in the history of pop music"

What is that even supposed to mean? She is not a loser, she sold a hundred million copies. She did what she had to do. She work like crazy ever since she was 4 years old. How much more does she need to prove? As in Britney's own words, she has nothing left to prove. She doesn't care if she is in Madonna's league or not. Everybody has their own choices in life. Madonna wants to be at the top all the time, that is why she is at the top. Britney doesn't because there is other things in life she needed to deal with, and hell she does have plenty of things she needed to fix before she could even think about her career. Some people enjoy fame, they are addicted to it, they want more and they would do anything to get more and more like Madonna. Some people want fame and then they learn they cannot deal with them, that is Britney. Whatever she wants to do, it is nothing of anybody's god damn business. She can retire today and she will continue to be among the top 100 biggest selling artists of all time at least within our lifetime. Plus, if you consider her a loser. What about all those artists who sang at bars and in the streets, are they million times much more of a loser according to your logic? Honestly you are pathetic. Plus she is not that old. She is just in her 40s. Plenty of women made several strong comeback in their 40s & some even in their 50s. Tina Turner, Madonna, Barbra Streisand, Cher, etc. Who is to say her career is over?

PS : Somebody should put her in the spam section.

"I believe she is the one having mental issues."

Yeah I'm sensing a lot of projection here... Especially calling Britney a "loser", or saying "I don’t like looser people" (ugh). This combination of mental illness and douchiness probably explains the torrent of insults towards Britney, which might as well be trolling, i.e. worthy of a ban imo.

"it’s about her fall in disgrace since 2007. That’s why her records sells went down."

In The Zone (which includes her most popular song) is the 8th best selling album from 2003 while Circus is #12 for 2008, what a huge drop.

She has nothing left to prove because she has already proved the fact she is the biggest loser in the history of music. She had the chance to be on the same league with Madonna and Michael Jackson and she failed so hard that she was surpassed by someone like Taylor Swift. Britney would have liked to have the achievements of Madonna's career, but she does not have the qualities of Madonna. She is a loser and even so, last year has received another huge chance in life, which she should have used to successfully relaunch herself in music, but she wasted this chance as she wasted other huge chances. Britney made huge mistakes in her life, but she chose to blame others for why she ended up in this miserable situation where she cries for pity. She is totally stuck in the past.

FFS Amber, you're just ranting now. All this vitriol for a person that has no direct impact on your life, is not healthy or normal. Give it a rest now, please, you've made your points.

I am atheist, the only god I have ever had was Britney Spears and she disappointed me so badly , specially after she was released from conservatorship. She said that will do some music, by choosing a new team and releasing a new album. None of this was happening. Instead she praised Elton John as if she wasn’t capable to make a successful comeback without his contribution. She would rather choose embarrassing herself by giving totally credit to some other artist for collaboration, instead to try produce her own music.
