Things are fine with Adele. Great voice, she can really SING, that's important. Adele is young, and she has decades of career ahead of her. The most important thing is REAL talent, that matters. She has a future. No reason to be worry. She will be at top maybe after 2030. Forget streams. She is like Barbra Streisand, Elvis, Freddie Mercury, Stevie Nicks..
Norah Jones is very good, but i think she is different genre. Adele wrote one of the best songs of this millennium. Rolling in the deep, Someone like you, Set the fire to the rain, Hello.. and she is maybe best live performer right now. She is old fashion performer. She has a voice like Elvis, Freddie Mercury, Stevie Nicks, that kind. Had been incredibly good at Hyde Park this summer. Five star, just power. I checked on youtube.
hi guys, as mentioned there were shipments for 30 in 2021 as per info by ifpi as well but is there any update on if they shipped more amount in 2022?
Hi nnvu!
Our numbers are always given in up to date shipments. It had 3.37m units (+292k DLs in China) at the date of this article. Meaning an estimated 1.3m copies has been returned since...
thank you for replying
oh so whenever you guys will update her again we will know about it - shipped numbers of 2022 in total right
Hi Denysanatol!
The AM were replaced with Beyoncé as when I was supposed to work on them she returned with her new single and the announcement of the album.
For Imagine Dragons, we were getting late and had to remove one, and that was the one from that period which required the most work.
They aren't cancelled, but instead we will put them back at the end of the pipe. AM themselves will possibly replace someone before as they announced their new album, depends on how much hype it gets / if it's interesting to wait for its first numbers or not.
In general it's possible that we slow down these updates a bit to let more room to new stuff. In the last days I've been working mostly on Clapton and I would like to finish him ASAP. I would have loved to share results piece by piece (Yardbirds, then Cream, then Blind Faith, etc.), but his compilations include material from all his bands so it's impossible to split the work. There are still a lot to do, but we are in the good way now and at least the results will be worth the wait!
Without giving too much away on Clapton, did his results surprise you/the Chartmasters team in terms of actual versus expected equivalent sales and level of success?
How much of a general idea did you have before doing his analysis?
Thank you ! I think you should not to update pages of artists with low albums pure sales . The best focus on artists with significant sales grow likes Bruno Mars , Michael Jackson , ABBA ( Voyage ), Mariah Carey ( Marry Christmas & All I want for Christmas is You ) etc.
Hi MJD, congratulations for your work, in addition to the great curiosity for the article on Clapton, it would take if I can give a suggestion, an update regarding artists like U2 who are now close to 200 million EAS, I remember that the article about them dates back to 6 years ago.
I’m guessing AM are even less likely now that Ms. Swift is releasing an album in the same day
When will you update pure sales of all her albums again? Why don't you update pure sales the same day you update streaming sales?
