The truth about Britney Spears’ album sales in Europe

After years and years of conflicting information, there are still doubts about Austrian certifications being based on the current criteria or the one in place upon the release of the album. Thus, Oops can be certified 2xP for 80,000 or 100,000 units depending on the case.

That said, it isn’t a big story as figures in Austria are rather low since this market almost always kept its ratio of a tenth of the German one or lower.

Merging all the data together concludes on the following album sales to date:

  • Baby One More Time – 55,000
  • Oops!… I did It Again – 100,000
  • Britney – 50,000
  • In The Zone – 30,000
  • Greatest Hits, My Prerogative – 35,000
  • Blackout – 10,000
  • Circus – 10,000
  • The Singles Collection – N/A
