Streaming World: Back To 2012

2012 TOP 60 HITS – 21 to 25

Have I told you that songs of Kendrick Lamar were real growers? Impressively enough, he registers a 5th and a 6th hit on the list with the additions of Swimming Pools (Drank) and Fuckin’ Problems. The latter is a song by A$AP Rocky who debuted on a big way that year.

Both songs are around 280 million streams, just like On Top Of The World, the second song from Imagine DragonsNight Visions. The band, who’s currently smashing in the US with their hit Thunder, may continue to perform well on upcoming years.

A bit under but still over 250 million are both I Won’t Give Up and I Love It. Jason Mraz managed to escape from the one-hit wonder syndrome thanks to the first song after the smash of I’m Yours. On their side, the Swedish duo Icona Pop failed to move forward this status as they barely did a thing before and after I Love It. This tune remains a party favorite still.

  1. Born to die really is a streaming monster, she is one of the top 10 most streamed females on spotify!
i wonder how ultraviolence would do in a 2014 list

  2. Carly Rae Jepsen has actually had a couple of other hits since “Call me maybe”. “Good time”, with owl City, was a top 10 hit in various markets (US, UK, Japan, France, Belgium, Australia). “I really like you” was a european hit in 2015 (#3 in the UK, top 20 in The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, Denmark). It also reached the top 20 in her native Canada and Japan. Well, that’s about it. 🙂
