Fly On The Wall (1985) Era

Trying to rebound after the flop of their previous album, AC/DC still relied on themselves to record and produce their 1985 in full, Fly On The Wall.

Now they their fan base was severely reduced, this new record hasn’t enjoy the high new entry. In fact, this album never entered at all in France newly introduced Top 30 monthly Album Chart.

This also means the curve of success wasn’t changed as no single appeared able to boost this release which sold an estimated 50,000 units in its first year.

In 1986, the band moved to Who Made Who album, a package including both six old songs and three new ones, serving as the soundtrack of Maximum Overdrive movie. Failing to chart just like Fly On The Wall, this album had the advantage to contain You Shook Me All Night Long, Hells Bells and For Those About To Rock tracks ending up being regarded as some kind of best of album and as such enjoying decent catalog sales until 1992. It sold some 50,000 units too in its first year.
