It was communicated and explained recently in this article. Back in the day, the tool was very useful for fans as there were no top artists, albums, songs, followers, etc. screens, and even the 3 searches were granted because data was unstable enough that you needed them to get daily streams of one artist. Now the relevant data is available on all the various pages. The tool is costy to maintain, both money-wise and time-wise. There were already no search granted as part of the silver plan for over a year, I kept the exception running for older users as long as I could but if I want ChartMasters to stay afloat over time I have to do these adjustments. I know it's disappointing but if I had a better solution I would have gone after it.
