i know you will most likely update the sales ahead of their album release at june 10th but will you please also do one at the end of the year? They will most likely cross 100m sales by then! it would be fantastic if that could be updated close to the date where that happens 🙏

always thank you for your work!

within the year, they should have 5 albums past 10M (Wings, BE, 7, Persona, new album) as well as their Orphan catalogue.

They're now on qq music! This should do wonders for their streaming units.

Hi army, a bit off track. How can we check for latest streams of a particular song on Spotify on this site?

Login then use the "spotify numbers tool", write the name of the artist and it should give you a list of all the songs with the amount of streams of each one.

I am very curious to see how PROOF will be counted for their overall total.

My bet is that for Disc 1+2 (which have songs already on other albums) will have their units counted under Compilation sales.

Then PROOF will be listed separately to count the 4 new tracks' EAS + physicals sales left after subtracting the compilation sales already accounted for.

Ok, now I have an actual question. Where are you all getting 1,443,000 box sales for TMBIL: Young Forever? I don't understand the weighting factor. Is it saying that the original songs on Young Forever account for 557,000 EAS that are counted towards the Orphan "Other LPs" category?

Thank you for confirming my thoughts! I've been doing some rudimentary calculations to estimate their current CSPC total. I have two more questions.

1. How come their album sales don't match the Gaon totals?

Looking at when this article was posted, you were likely using the April 2021 Gaon report. 2Cool4Skool at the time had 344k. In this report, it has 390k. Where is the extra 46k from, considering they're not from a compilation or Japanese album?

This is the same occurrence for all of their albums. Is there a database I didn't think to check for specific countries? Or are some countries not reporting their totals to Gaon?

2. Is their Streaming EAS column on the Best Selling Artists page including Butter, Permission to Dance, and My Universe?

Hi again KPopFanMan!

Some Japanese versions are added to the totals when they exist (from Skool Luv Affair to Wings). Then, what's added on top of Gaon sales for all releases including 2Cool4Skool are digital sales. They are estimated at 40k for this album, plus 350k from Gaon on the date of the article (indeed 344k plus 3 weeks of sales in May).

Their early albums all have 40-60k estimated froms downloads, Wings and YNWA 90k-ish, their 2017-2019 prime albums 230-270k each, and their 2020 releases average 80k there.

Where are the digital sales from, since they don't align with the totals in the Digital Songs category?

Digital album sales on iTunes etc aren't really a thing in Korea. Their sales in this format are mainly in the US, Japan and Europe.

Album downloads on Chinese platforms will be counted along with these too since September 2021.

Oh ok! I didn't know they sold that much digitally of their earlier albums here in the US, thanks for clarifying. Is there anyway to calculate that total myself, or is that all data you've hand collected and counted?
