09 Eagles Hotel California (1976) : 1 355 000
10 Simon & Garfunkel Greatest Hits (1972) : 1 325 000

Not much to be said as this is pretty much a mixture of bands and soundtracks lists. Albums from this latter list still have a big advantage towards bands albums as they were released in more favorable years, latter in the decade, and also had the aforementioned huge advantage of being promoted threw successful movies. As he sold over a million with a French language album, I’m excluding Julio Iglesias of this listing, letting Neil Young as the only artist disturbing bands hegemony.
