The Los Angeles band was lucky enough to still get the opportunity to record a third album considering the flop of their first two sets. The Uplift Mofo Party Plan performed a bit better, although it was still nowhere near a hit album.
The single Fight Like A Brave gained some airplay, enabling the album to enter inside the Top 200, peaking at #148. In January 2003, initial promotional campaign plus 15 years of catalog sales pushed the album up to Gold status in the US, representing 500,000 units shipped. This highlights how low the profile of the band early albums always remained.
