Completely overshadowed by out of this world sales of Adele album 25, 2015 seventh album from Coldplay A Head Full Of Dreams struggled to make as much an impact as its predecessor.
In France, the consistency was still astonishing as in spite of debuting at #4 only, it did so with 51,000 units sold on the album first week, on par with their previous three albums. Despite the December release date, the #2 single of Christmas week Adventure Of A Lifetime supported the album to 178,000 copies sold in 2015. Issued 23 weeks ago the single has still never left the Top 40 while the album worst position in its 19 weeks lifetime as of today is #17. This stability is granted by the lead single as well as follow up Hymn For The Weekend song which became a hit on its own, peaking at #3 and sitting inside the Top 10 as of now.
To date sales for A Head Full Of Dreams album stand at 240,000 scanned, some more shipped with a great shot at passing 300,000 by the end of the year.
