Lol it happens when we r new 😂yeah right now Queen's music > Madonna's music ..
Agree with You ..U definitely made a valid point ..but MJ's is different case Queen's streamings were similar to MJ till 2017(infact audio+video streams less than MJ back then) so does that mean they were not relevant to public as that person implied MJ isn't relevant today...???His most noted albums or his work is limited to mostly only 6 albums he released as an adult solo artist..I'm not making any excuse here before that movie he had more 100m+ tracks on Spotify than any other legacy artist ..now someday or the other others who r equally popular will definitely outstream him given his limited work let's assume 10 people stream MJ,Queen daily but definitely MJ will generate less plays although both MJ,Queen are equally popular with those 10(just an assumption for the sake of an example) ..but how is that Equivalent to saying he is not as relevant when he is still leading in youtube (let's not talk about his unofficial dance videos ) and in parts like Middle East, China,India he is most popular legacy artist on local platforms ?? Are Spotify streams alone are measure of popularity? MJ despite all those allegations ,media slander is still generating such numbers without any big push or massive discography and no way one can say he is not as relevant...As a performer people stil study his performances throughout
There is a difference between saying MJ's music isn't as relevant as Queen's on Spotify and MJ isn't as relevant as Queen.. Ofcourse right now Queen's music is more popular than MJ's especially since that film..
But MJ is more than just a music artist he was a great dancer and he continues to inspire many as a performer...how many dance shows talent shows u hv people doing MJ style? Just check on YouTube Baba Jackson he literally hv millions of views and MJ is his inspiration... infact almost every bollywood star today follow MJ dance and many non English people who are familiar with only dance (not into English music) may hv never bothered to install Spotify yet liking MJ ...Apart from just music artist MJ was a Video artist let's not forget that and it's not necessary they play him on Spotify(I'm an Indian and for year I hv been watching only on YouTube Spotify came only now )...so there is massive difference between these two things as i mentioned and as an impact MJ is still as relevant as Queen are but slightly in a different way .
What rubbish you say about MJ as a dancer! I’m a semi pro dancer and myself and many pro dancers would not sight MJ as a dancer to inspire too , he would way way down in pecking oRder of dancers. After all all he does is a moonwalk and a few twist turns, none of which are very difficult. I’d say stick to music, at least he can sing.
I've never entered into any of these relevance arguments, it's all just point scoring between fans of each artist. To me, Michael Jackson was and is extremely relevant and influential and IMO always will be. I couldn't care less about some pointless point scoring argument about who is more relevant etc, as it just doesn't matter to me.
Again, it is not the fact that his discography is smaller than Queens or The Beatles, that he is behind them, it is the fact that they are more popular on Spotify. Take Post Malone he only has 65 tracks on Spotify, yet he is the 3rd most streamed artist ever on the Platform. It's totally about popularity and nothing to with discography volume.
I'm not being derogatory here but Queens 10 most popular tracks, have streamed more than Jacksons entire catalogue on Spotify. So, it does not matter that they have around 300 more tracks, as they do not actually need the extra tracks to out perform him and to give some perspective those extra 300 tracks only account for 170m streams.
It's their more popular tracks like Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't Stop Me Now, Another One Bites The Dust, Under Pressure etc and their insane popularity, that puts them ahead, not their 300 extra tracks. Their top 311 tracks (the amount of tracks Jacksons has on Spotify) accounts for 10.9B compared to his 6.4B.
See this whole relevance argument wasn't with u to begin with ..that guy keep spreading hatred on MJ almost in every thread with multiple accounts ..it seems he can't stand comparisons or arguments when it comes to MJ.... Being a Queen fan he doesn't stick to Queen &MJ he keeps shuffling better Queen and Beatles to counter MJ arguments which is a sign of pure hatred ,..Just check the above comments nobody was comparing MJ with Queen... Somebody was just mentioning MJ to give an example and he got irked and started downplaying MJ
Queens Bohemian Rhapsody and Don’t stop me now voted Britain’s favourite songs.

Here is a more extensive breakdown of the results;

Have to admit, while I'd expect Queens BR to come out on top, the demographic seems quite skewed to older participants, as only 5 songs come from the last 30 years and only 3 from the 21st century.
Yikes...I only like to listen to one song on that list and not even that regularly! I'm clearly not old or from the UK haha. Honestly, most of those songs are the overplayed, cliche songs that I would be fine never hearing again at this point in my life.
I am from the UK and 47, so oldish, but even then, 16 of the 25 songs were either written before I was born or I was too young to know them on release!
Stairway to Heaven is the only song on the list that I can recall actually picking out to play and same as you, it's not very often, even although Led Zeppelin are my favourite band! A lot of the others tracks I hear on radio or in a pub etc, but I can't say I choose to play any of them.
One song I thought would be a certainty to be on the list is Wonderwall by Oasis, quite surprised to see it not making the Top 25.
the same certifications that say that frank sinatra has only sold 27 million albums in the us and that the beatles only sold 5 million records in japan?
