France best selling albums ever:
Caravane by Raphael (2005)

The album was the #1 best seller of 2005 with 655k sold and #6 of 2006 with 458k with an additional 9k on downloads. This being said, as we already know those official IFOP sales were largely incomplete at the time. I do own exact GFK sales for this album up to the end of 2008:

• Main edition: 1,344,339
• Deluxe edition: 59,626
• 2CD with Hotel De L’Univers: 14,236
• 2CD with La Réalité: 10,242
• 2CD with Une Nuit Au Châtelet: 2,348
• 2CD with Je Sais Que La Terre Est Plate: 1,648

Since, the album sold a decent 35k in 2009-2010 before  suffering from the lack of success from Raphael most recent releases, adding a mere 25k in the last five years, plus 15k for 2CD boxes. Although Caravane remains a one-time in the artist career, fact is it remains the 4th best selling album released since 2005 to date.

A grand total of 1,507,000 copies sold.

Net shipment as of the end of 2015 is estimated at 1,525,000 copies.
