She didn’t sell more than Beyoncé lol…Beyoncé sold 36M solo studio albums and a further 5-7M eps & dvds
If you separate The Fame and Monster (as two albums) then the gap between BTW and Monster is very small. Actually BTW has few more units than Monster separately, afaik.
you're crazy to say that Circus failed
released in December 2008, it was one of the top 10 bestselling albums of 2009, 505k debut in the US, and is already eligible for 3x on the RIAA, but RCA didn't buy the updates, not to mention that it had 3 big hits, #1 on BB200 #1 on BB hot 100, 2009's most successful women's tour in north america....
britney was already on her 6th album, Rihanna and Beyoncé at the height of her career, it's the same as saying that Ray of Light failed, as it sold half of what Britney and Backstreet sold.
can you please include The Remix Album "Dawn of Chromatica" in Chromatica's streams like you have done with Fearless Taylor's Version ?
That's surprising. I thought it went like this:
-Born This Way: 20m
-The Fame Monster: 15m
-The Fame: 10m
“Zero promo” according to little maggots only🤣 it had as much promo as every other album released that year and was still the least selling out of all female artists lol
It didn't actually. Compared to Dua, who released multiple singles and gave multiple performances, and Taylor who released alternate covers and a documentary, Chromatica had only 1 performance and 1 active single, and Gaga ended up being the 4th best-selling female artist of 2020.
I always though fame was different era from monster considering how it was nearly a new album and separating them gives her more consistency and less gap between born this way. .
She revived her career with a star is born but gp interest outside her movies songs is not much for her albums anymore. She started so strong than everyone. But gap is too much from other top 3 digital era MPGs EAS
the article you wrote in 2019 said Joanne had sold 1.3m copies but in this article the figures are still 1.3m. sales of ROW changed from 16,000 to 15,000 but sales of USA changed from 665,000 to 667,000.
Is there something wrong with your figures?
I personally love this! People always say Gaga has outsold Britney, or that their sales are closer than I think….blah! This clearly shows that Britney has massively outsold Gaga, and had considerably more consistent sales. I’m a huge fan of both, but it’s always been incredibly difficult to explain just how much bigger Britney was. Not only in her peak years, but just how long she maintained her popularity.
Britney was a bigger celebrity too. Her tabloid fame was on par with jolie and aniston back then.
