You didn't added Zabriskie Point soundtrack in the Pink Floyd CSPC, but on the other hand you added a lot of Zabriskie Point soundtrack songs in the Pink Floyd streaming list(Streaming Part 7). A bit weird, isn't it?
Here on the Neptune the Zabriskie Point soundtrack is considered as Pink Floyd album. It was released under the name ”The Dark Side of the Zabriskie Point”. 🙂
Pink Floyd released 2011 box set 'Discovery'. 16 discs. Why it isn't included here? Or it's just my mistake and I can't found it...
No, you are correct Matrix. It seems to have been overlooked, as I can't see it placed in any section of the analysis.
Yep, you are both correct, the box doesn't explicitely appears! Back then without Discogs we weren't as precise as we are now while describing a discography. For these career-spanning boxes, when they got big enough to be certified on their own they were listed, elsewhere I simply used to add their sales directly into the individual albums, same as I did for 2/3 CD packs. If newly updated, I would definitely list everything clearly so that there is no ambiguity left.
Pink Floyd are the one of two artists to have two 50+ million albums each. The another one is Michael Jackson.
I think it's not too fair to compare Grease to The Wall... the first is a multi-artist soundtrack while The Wall must be considered as a real album on a par with The Dark Side... WYWH etc. My 2 cents.
You've misunderstood what was said. He's not meaning live albums from 73-79, he's meaning live albums from the 80s,90s etc that included tracks from their 73-79 studio albums.
Has the album 'Wish You Were Here' lost about a million or so EAS recently?
Just out of interest, after Queen, Michael Jackson and The Beatles, are Pink Floyd the biggest selling album artist (all types) in Europe?
