Streaming Part 3
Coldplay can do no wrong. Ghost Stories is regarded as their most disappointing effort sales-wise, which goes on to prove how massive the band is since this album crushes smash records from many pop stars of our time.
Already enjoying the streaming boom, this album sees its two first singles Magic and A Sky Full of Stars at 315 million and 458 million Spotify streams respectively. The weakest song from the album has 27 million streams, which would be a big hit for others.
A Head Full of Dreams has two big smashes too but on a higher scale. Adventure of a Lifetime was already big with roughly 600 million streams on each audio and video avenues, but Hymn For The Weekend raised the bar even more. It has nearly 700 million streams at Spotify alone and 822 million on YouTube.
Equivalent album sales-wise, those albums record 1,2 million and 1,8 million units respectively, enough to make them successful albums even with 0 sale from remaining formats.
