Over the curse of 8 albums and 14 years, Eminem found a way to sell the superb total of 93,3 million studio albums.
Obviously the market was more favorable to sell albums in early 00s, with no digital sales a very low physical singles at the time, thus the popularity of an era was heavily focused into the album sales. This doesn’t change the fact Eminem overshadowed pretty much every other artist for the period. Both The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show easily eclipsed the 20 million sales level, the only male albums to do so since Michael Jackson golden years.
Each of his five first albums are also now over the 10 million mark – not counting 2005 compilation Curtain Call which got there too. In recent years, the rapper perfectly operated the transition to new formats. Relapse first looked like the end of golden years for him but Recovery has set him back at the very top of the game by being the Worldwide #1 album during 2010.
