Who's actually next?
I saw Kanye West way down the list.
Has it actually started again after Sinatra?
I'd be curious to see a CSPC article for Def Leppard.
I guess they will be between 75-80 million EAS.
No they'd be around 75m, i.e. about half of Neil Diamond (not studied yet).
Where's the spanish singer Selena. When she died, her album sales went skyrocketing. She should be on the list
Where's Selena Quintanilla aka Selena? When she died, her album sales skyrocketed. She has sold 18 million albums. She deserves to be on the CSPC request list. She is very popular.
As one of the world's best-selling music artist, Def Leppard have sold more than 100 milion records worldwide, and have two albums with RIAA Diamond certification: Pyromania and Hysteria, making them one of only five rock bands with two original studio albums selling more than 10 milion copies in the US.
Hi everyone!
As we are done with Kanye, we are supposed to move into the next one, with Roberto Carlos leading the pack, ahead of Aretha Franklin and Ace of Base.
Since we are testing / tuning our new background methods for CSPC Betas as detailed in the recent article, I've set a specific sequence a few weeks back:
1 - Kanye West
2 - Gorillaz
3 - Ace of Base
4 - Sam Smith
5 - Aretha Franklin
6 - Lewis Capaldi
The point is to go through all standard cases (among new CSPCs, one historical act with a large disco, Aretha, one contemporary with a lot of downloads and streams, Kanye, and one old that is short to deal with, Ace of Base, and among updates one CSPC light, Capaldi, one single-page entry, Sam Smith, and one multi-pages, Gorillaz).
That way we can make sure that our new processes and templates embark the needful for all these cases, and we can continue with subsequent studies without changing the format anymore. We will deal with Roberto Carlos just after these ones, with the aim of treating them quite faster from now on!
I wonder if an update would finally push Céline Dion to reach the 200M units mark. Encore Un Soir sales isn't complete yet and Courage pure sales is still missing, adding them would likely add more or less 1.2 million ish
How is Nicki at least not an option lol. She is glaringly one of the biggest/most impactful acts of the 2010s who has not been studied yet.
This is also puzzling. Why aren't they an option?? They are certainly bigger than many artists on there.
From this website:
"We have set these limits of expected results:
- over 50 million CSPC sales
- over 30 million CSPC sales for a local artist
- over 15 million CSPC sales with a single album
- already studied artists to update"
So artists not on this list aren't expected to meet this criteria (as of now).
Weight of an already studied artists at "0,5". It means that they articles will never be updated !
