nicki is a lot more relevant than frank sinatra and they have done ton of recent acts despite them selling far less than he has so im not sure how she isnt more deserving.
Hi all!
Just to let you know, I've fully concentrated on Clapton's CSPC lately and now pure sales (albums, videos, songs) of all his products and related (himself, Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek & the Dominos, collabs Delaney & Bonnie / John Mayall / Howlin' Wolf and more) are now completed.
We still need to write down the last tracklists of some compilations to distribute sales, and to retrieve streaming numbers. There are still a bit of work but the huge majority is behind us. We will start by publishing the bands involved in order (starting with the Yardbirds), up to Clapton himself. At last, this is coming!
I wish more Motown and Stax artists (Isaac Hayes, Otis Redding) were covered already but I can imagine why they haven't been yet. I imagine the amount of compilations tied to the Motown artists must be insane.
hey MJD, now that eric clapton is out of the way, will we get new artist analysis or continue the updates ?
Hi all!
Attached are results as of the posting of Clapton. I'll now remove Xuxa's votes, as she is the next pick!
Hi L145!
You should check your emails, so that you can discuss with us about that 😉
It has yet to be decided to be honest, there are several big things in preparation in background, so either new updates that will be strongly improved, or quicker CSPCs!
We are getting closer and closer to Sinatra's CSPC!! Woohoo!
Also what are those big things in preparation in background that you mentioned in the post below?? 😀
Can't believe Xuxa wins! Too bad mexican singer Thalía could not be included. Now I'm voting for Ricky Martin.
Yes! 🙂
The next big one at least, there will be some updates/CSPC lights while we build his report!
I’m truly against the man in most conceivable ways, but I’m glad Kanye, or Ye, is now no. 1 on the leaderboard because he’s most certainly the biggest artist since 2000 to not be studied and likely the 3rd biggest rap artist of all time at this point
I feel the same. I'm not a fan of his music or persona but I'm eagerly awaiting his sales article.
Hi Meca76!
They don't quite meet the requirements, I expect them to be in the 15-20m CSPC range.
BIGBANG, arguably they were the one of the most popular groups in South Korea before BTS become worldwide stars. There were some claims that BIGBANG had 100M overall sales when digitals per single are combined and that in their Wikipedia article that they sold more than Backstreet Boys. What baffles me is that their album sales are really really low but really high in their digital singles...so they really have big impact around China, SK, Japan, and SEA but there is not much supporting data how big their impact was during their prime... probably I think they will be about 10-20M in CSBC ranking if all the computations are done
If there are other Koreans that need this rating to justify their impact, we need Girl's Generation, TVXQ, EXO, Super Junior, and BoA for this as they are really that popular in Asia in their prime, but they may count also like 10-20M overall in CSBC
Dear MJDangerous, I want to see Phoenix and Daft Punk.
especially Phoenix. personally the best group in the world now.
