Depeche Mode's Violator (1990) is actually close to 1B streams. Problem is, the single versions of Enjoy the Silence (402.2M) and Personal Jesus (273.2M) are not included in the album total of 263.6M.
Demi by Demi Lovato — more than 2B streams ( https://open.spotify.com/album/4MgJ2ud7JyOTeUXjeLoVeg);
Hot Pink by Doja Cat — more than 3,5B streams ( https://open.spotify.com/album/3xcNRROgwXUvhR9NVrvAR4);
I Cry When I Laugh by Jess Glynne — more than 2,5B streams ( https://open.spotify.com/album/7BEPVoBcHuTLWpcdj8FhM8);
So Good by Zara Larsson — more than 5B streams ( https://open.spotify.com/album/5peIUWUKu5LOriwIsMMiiF).
A similar case is Diddy's No Way Out, the version here (528m streams) is missing a bunch of songs as well as single versions with way more streams, but the strange part is even when using the Numbers Tool there are still a few songs missing, and some songs with incredibly low numbers (like 0.1m), I know it's not exactly a classic album but still...
Thanks for the links, the latter two are added!
These versions of Demi and Hot Pink won't be added though since they have tracks from other albums.
DNA (Expanded Edition) by Little Mix - > 425 million streams ( https://open.spotify.com/album/7B8LPRplA8cByTSzgQvdxd?si=wOmLh29kTF6GspgOa6xThA)
But all of these tracks are attributed to other albums (Billie Jean to Thriller...etc.). If you include HIStory, wouldn't it just show the 2nd disc's tracks, i.e. 625m streams?
CSPC wise, it's counted as a box containing 2 albums. Wouldn't it be a good idea to do the same thing in both cases?
Hi Analord/Clockingbell!
This page lists total streams per album ID inside the Spotify database.
The only technical manipulation done is that when two tracks appear to have the exact same playcount (it happens when a track and its remix share the same one), only one is kept.
As there are no History CD2 available on Spotify, the ID would retrieve total streams for both CDs, which would artificially inflate History's total.
It would be great to have that CD2 on obviously, but creating exceptions would bring to a never ending code and very slow process, as virtually every album have 'lost' tracks and such.
Glory by Britney Spears is close to the 500 million mark, I think the next year you should ad it to the top
Un Verano Sin Ti is still chugging along. About a week and it'll enter the top 5.
