Taylor is already above Bad Bunny, it's a matter of months until she becomes #1
but this is all wrong?? it's the weeknd, then taylor swift, then drake? I looked on spotify...
What is going on? Drake jumped from 63 billion to 66 billion lead streams in one day approximately Oct 11 (but not in total streams) and now Bad Bunny jumps from 59B to 62B lead streams on Oct.14. Obviously some songs have been reclassified from features to lead, but why?
I wonder why these ranks don't match the ranks that are displayed on each artist's page on Spotify, even if they are a day older or not, they still never resemble the ranks displayed at artist pages on the app. For example, top ranks this whole weekend on the app were, and still are:
- The Weeknd
- Taylor Swift
- Drake
- Bad Bunny
- Rihanna
- Ed Sheeran
- Doja Cat
- Justin Biever
- SZA
- Dua Lipa
- Billie Ellish
- David Guetta
- Bruno Mars
- Coldplay
- Shakira
- Ariana Grande
- Miley Cyrus
- Eminem
- Travis Scott
- Calvin Harris
- Olivia Rodrigo
- Post Malone
- 21 Savage
- Kanye West
- Imagine Dragons
- Maroon 5
- Harry Styles
- Lana Del Rey
- Karol G
- Sam Smith
- Nicky Minaj
- Lady Gaga
- Marshmellow
- Adele
- Selena Gomez
- Katy Perry
- J. Balvin
- Peso Pluma
- Daddy Yankee
It's because this ranking is on total lifetime streams; the ranking on Spotify is total monthly listeners.
PLEASE FIX THE BAD BUNNY STREAMING NUMBERS GLITCH!!!! He did not gain 3 billion streams in one day lol, but that's what both this chart, and the most popular artist chart displayed the day after his new albums release.
Juice WRLD Feat streams are false. I just calculated the streams, and he has 5 535 007 024, not 5 050 000 000. Pls fix this it's been months now that it is false.
I noticed that also drake went from 63B to 66B when he released.
BB went from 58.9B to 63B

While posting this comment Taylor Swift is No1 right now with 108,950,215 monthly listeners, not Drake. He is No3 with 82,649,965 monthly listeners.
There should be a bot answer in this comment section saying "read the article ffs" every time "monthly listeners" is mentioned.
There is a difference between monthly listeners and total or monthly streams. That is why even though Drake's highest point in monthly listeners is number 3, he has the most streams of all time right now. Monthly listeners counts when a listener listens to the artist music for the first time during the month. That listener may not be a fan or regular listener. That is why when an artist puts out new music, their monthly listener count increases because new people are curious. But the base fans remain monthly listeners and listen to the artist music consistently. Overall, the Weeknd's streams aren't that high and this is very interesting.
I'm not sure where to post this but I've a question about the "most followed artists" page: what's with all the negative figures? For example Ed Sheeran:
Daily: -118,949
Weekly: -59,408
A bug on Spotify's end maybe?
Hi Analord!
It's not an error, it happens 2/3 times per year, it's when Spotify cleans churns from their statistics.
Oh ok, and by "cleaning churns" you don't mean inactive accounts right? I think I've read they don't delete those, actually there was a discussion here about Indian artists and I think it was Al who said a lot of their "followers" are actually inactive accounts...
Hi, your list is missing some notable K-pop acts.
ITZY and NCT 127 are over 2.3 billion

NCT Dream is over 2.2 billion

Possible bug: Peso Pluma is listed with 11 billion streams (lead) and 280m features, while ofc the real totals should be about 6b lead and 6b features. Also in the "most streamed artists on audio DSPs" list his total is 22b, which seems like a lot... I thought it might be an issue with latin artists but the Bad Bunny totals seem to be correct.
