By the way - I wrote my comment after Thomas Christiansen and Chika, who started comparing Every breath with BoRha first. You should be more observant
I'm actually surprised on the eas of EBYT but it is what it is. I do love BR a lot lot more but we can't deny the fact that it got boosted because of the movie.
I couldn't care less who posted what first, my issue was with what Chika and you wrote, not when you posted!
Absolutely nothing wrong with what Thomas posted, he was merely comparing the two songs, based on streaming numbers, since they'd been mentioned in the article. Chika was posting nonsense as fact and being biased and disparaging about BR/Queen and you were just being disparaging about EBYT, by saying nothing about it (the article or the band) just that BR will over take it soon.
I know, I am also surprised it is so high.
I don't think anybody is denying the fact that it got a boost from the film and still is to some extent but It's not as if it's just become hugely popular, it has been for decades, as it's physical and digital sales (prior to the film & streaming) testify.
That's correct Chika. I think by now everyone know U2 are Irish but these media tags are not always the most precise naming conventions 😉
It was a tongue in cheek comment guys.
Irish sense of humour.Don't even like U2 lol.
I'm impressed with their huge results, 'cause The Police IMO is a little bit overrated and Sting is one of the most boring singers of all time.
So you are defending Thomas with this argument, that "Absolutely nothing wrong with what Thomas posted, he was merely comparing the two songs, based on streaming numbers, since they’d been mentioned in the article.", but offending me, that I'm talking about these two songs, that are mentioned in the article, as a reply to Thomas, who mentioned these two songs about their streaming numbers? :))) Double standarts, Martin, double.
Why bother coming on to their article just to spout negative garbage? You are a fan of the most overrated band or maybe artist in history and you wanna call the police, who are fairly unknown by comparison, overrated? Go onto Queens article and garble on about how amazing you think they are.
Let's not forget P. Diddy (then known as Puff Daddy) had a massive hit back in '97, "I'll be missing you", that sampled EBYT. It surely contributed a lot to the success of the Police song in the late 90's, early 00's.
Sting is one of the most successful songwriters. Above is e.g. Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Max Martin, Michael Jackson.
Same score roughly as Barry Gibb, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Taylor Swift and a few others. The score is divided on based on the US and UK single lists.
I know you can answer everything you want but saying Queen are the most underrated artists ever was unnecessary 😔✌🏻.
