And in asia, she is untouchable. Which is emerging as biggest market , with two in top five. China overtook Japan last year in ifpi. Where she is massive and has sold more than ten million pure there ( cm put those sales in other section, but they still are pure sales). Asia is future of world music market and smart artist will focus there

But most importantly this is based on revenue, so poorer countries are underrepresented. Success should be based on popularity and not revenue imo, and Taylor is hugely popular in a lot of highly populated countries with comparatively low GDP per capita. For comparison:

The last 5 are obviously bigger markets than South Korea, just not in terms of revenue.

India is an absolutely gigantic music market although it's largely dominated by local music as you probably know, western artists can't compete with them.

That said, 1.4 billion people means that even if an artist is only popular in like 20% of the country it still means a lot of people, and Taylor is definitely one of the biggest western artists there.
