It's my opinion she won't outsell Madonna, I don't know why it bothers you so much.

Taylor Swift fans sure have insecurities.

I never said she is over, just not dominant because there are others as successful as her or even more successful than her.

BTW Justin has 90 million units with 6 albums vs Taylor's 108.8 million with 9 albums. Justin is more successful actually per album.

Maybe check your own insecurities first.

Let's not forget that it was you who brought up Madonna in a conversation where she wasn't even mentioned.

You clearly are bothered by Taylor Swift when you make the effort of visiting her CSPC page, going through her comment sections and bringing up someone who wasn't even referenced in the comment you replied to.

And Shania Twain is more successful per album than both of these artists if we go by average units per album.

Does that suddenly mean that she's bigger than them?
Of course not, because Chartmasters ranks artists based on their total units and not based on averages.

Not only that, but Taylor Swift's units per studio album are actually higher than Justin Bieber's. You are re-distributing Bieber's orphan units to his albums when there's a reason they're called orphan; they don't belong to any album.

So in terms of total units, as well as your own metric of average units per album, Taylor Swift is still ahead for now, so I don't get where you're trying to go with this.

This constant discrediting of her success on your part is really starting to get weird…

No offense but I agree that Jake's obsession to undermine Taylor's current success is getting weird, serving stan Twitter behavior. Most of his arguments are baseless with no stat or data supporting them, just personal bias and feeling instead of pure fact.

Nobody mention Madonna since she's ahead of others right now yet he was the one who brought her here, sigh talking about insecurities. To sum up, it's pretty obvious that Taylor will surpass Whitney and Babra based on current rate (12M-15M CPSC/year) considering she has another four rerecords and possibly new studio albums too. She's most likely a threat to Mariah and Celine too if her momentum gets stronger with each upcoming release. By end of the decade then we can assume whether she can challenge Madonna. It's too soon to discuss about it.

https://amprofon.com.mx/es/pages/certificaciones.php

I just randomly checked Mexican certification website and found out that 1989's pure sales was probably underestimated (admin estimated it at 60,000 but the album was certified as 3xP+1G or equivalent to 210,000). Reputation was estimated at 15,000 but it was certified as 1xP (60,000). At first, I thought it was SPS but then I realized the certification was based on 2009 threshold, which means it was most likely based on pure sales. It was November 2020 when they changed the certification threshold with the inclusion of streaming if I'm not mistaken. Nevertheless, the certification is based on shipment, not actual sales. Correct me if I'm wrong considering I might miss something with the certification update.

Hi Donchano!

Sadly, pure sales are completely dead in Latin America right now, and have been for quite some time. AMPROFON started adding streams (and they indeed represent the majority of 'sales'), since 2015 although due to their poor organization, they haven't communicate about it until much later.

That's why 1989 went from Gold (30,000 shipped) in Dec 2014 to 2xP+G (150,000) in Oct 2015 in spite of similar sales both years (#28 of the year in 2014, #20 in 2015 with a market collapsing from 12.1m to 8.8m units). Our year end charts to sales conversion tools suggest 25,400 sales in 2014 and 21,800 in 2015 in Mexico for this album.

Thanks, I just wondering since they didn't put any explanation regarding the certification prior to November 2020.

Yet you guys quickly ganged up and started to hate on me when I said Taylor won't outsell Madonna which is a reasonable claim considering she is 150 million units ahead of Taylor and constantly increasing.

You guys believe Taylor is known by the gp everywhere based on her streams which is laughable, and everyone knows that.

You just can't stand other people's opinions, which fits your fanbase because Taylor Swift is the same and hates everyone who disagrees with her

I checked Nevermind's post and he never mentioned Madonna's name in his original post. You were the first people who brought her here. I don't know why you accusing me for being hypocrite, I don't go to other artists page and start attacking people there. People here defend Taylor based on facts, numbers, stats meanwhile you basically based on your wishful thinking (hoping Taylor will flop although the current stat suggesting the opposite).

Why are you now spreading lies to make yourself look better?

Nowhere does @Nevermind mention Madonna in their original post, to which you commented on and brought up Madonna.
That user only mentioned Barbra, Whitney, Mariah and Celine.

"You said that Taylor could possibly get with in reach of Barbara’s and Whitney’s CSPC totals. Well would I be delusional for thinking she could possibly come near Mariah’s or even Celine’s CSPSC totals in the long run? Or is it completely out of the question?"

Where does it mention Madonna here?

How sad that you're now contradicting your very own words.

No one ganged up on you or started to hate on you.

You yourself brought up Madonna in a conversation where she wasn't a topic, and then people rightfully pointed out to you with data and facts that Taylor's success is so strong that, yes, she has a chance at surpassing even Madonna's CSPC units, a prospect that MJD himself acknowledged in his own post.

If you think you know better than the owner of Chartmasters and think that people hate on you for simply pointing out the objective possibility of Taylor achieving higher CSPC units, then I don't know what to tell you.

I never attacked anyone, before you guys attacked me.

And I never said I hope she will flop. That's you twisting my words, I simply said I don't think she will outsell Madonna.
