taylor really managed to score 122.9m streams in a single day, y’all better hold your wigs when 1989 tv and ts10 are released
taylor is far from being over 👹👹
The amount of releases she had in streaming era, not a single album is blockbuster in streaming. 24 songs. Expected debut.
Red TV and Folklore were streaming blockbusters if you look at how many streaming records they broke.
But I know what you mean, her albums don't do well on streaming long term wise unfortunately.
A streaming blockbuster album is which should do atleast 4 to 5 billion in year on spotify imo. She has build great catalog and i think she is next 200 million seller unless years down the line her catalog slows down like other female artists. But her peak is gone. Evermore showed it. She will have big initials, but i don't think she will be now having blockbuster albums
Amazing discography though which will pay her in long run. But the way her label and fans inflate her numbers by putting video streams on par with audio streams is funny. They already put her around 130 million eas, which isn't true.
She won't have streaming blockbusters, but she isn't out of her peak. The GP still recognizes her especially in my country. It's not like she's a complete nobody outside of her fanbase. Folklore is still at 2.3b spotify streams and Lover is close to being a "blockbuster album" by your definition at 3.5b streams. She's doing well in streaming. She does amazing in every aspect unlike some who are streaming legends, download legends and sales legends but that's their only limit.
Eminem and adele oustreams her on album basis despite swift releasing 4 albums, recordings since 25. Ur point. ? Taylor wasn't decade into her career when streaming became a thing. Ofc sales legends catalog, which is way older will have less numbers . They destroy her in sales too. So it evens out in end.. A physical single can't compete with a cheap download. So ur point?
Lover 3.5 billion after 2 years isn't blockbuster on streaming.
When it got released at peak of streaming. Ofc in long run , it will get streams. It isn't blockbuster . No matter how much her fans try
Her last album was in 2020. Re-recordings don't count, but she does well with them
And that last 2 album haven't done 3 billion streams each either. So they can't be called streaming blockbusters. A strong fd is really backing her up. No solo global hit in 7 years either. That's why fd is most important in long run. If she goes 1989 way, she can have a big blockbuster on streaming. Folkbore or flopmore not gonna cut it.
She had a global hit in 2017/2018.
Folklore did well, it is the second most successful album by a woman released in 2020 and #7 overall. That's really good for a folk album. It also won album of the year at Grammy's.
Evermore is currently the fourth top selling album in the US, and will do 5 million units in the end. It wasn't a flop despite low streams.
This shows streams aren't everything
Solo hit *. Fifty shades hype made ellie's song even bigger hit than the collab. Yes her era sold good in end, because of reason i give above. Strong fd who mass purchase her albums, which give her millions of head start. But evermore is kind tragic for her standards. If u r true to urself and i talked about streaming blockbuster ( not all formats included )
We all know gp consumption comes with blockbuster album in streaming now. Swift has 4 proper albums during streaming era and none of them can be called an actual streaming blockbuster. Her numbers end up good. Thanks to great fd she has build.
She's actually doing great compared to her peers. It's hard to cross 10M sales (sps) per album now. Despite the decline in sales since 1989, she's more relevant than your faves, b0ts. 50 years from now, people will remember and celebrate her music. Meanwhile, b0ts only legacy is creating fund accounts to inflate sales and manipulate charts, and having a cult-like fandom
Look was a global hit. Look it up.
And her first album to be fully released on streaming services was Lover, so she she had 3 albums fully released in the streaming era actually.
1989 was held back for a long time, and Reputation in the first week so she could build up physical sales.
If 1989 and reputation were released on streaming, they won't have those sales and downloads either. She got huge sales for that. You can't have both at same time. Since she has taken streaming, she has lost of album sales. So u have to factor that too. And look had good initials , but my definition of global hit is huge longevity and having huge numbers in long term. Her last solo actual hits were in 1989 era. So we have to disagree here. So even if reputation lost first week, it had 4 years to do better. And fact remains no album of hers released in streaming era is blockbuster in streaming.
