Consider the fact adele had one album during streaming era which wasn't even there for months and sold 21 million and many downloads too. Still she had better streaming for her albums than swift who had countless releases on streaming and now even fresh re releases! Swift needed 9 eras and marketing tricks to reach 100 million whereas Adele gonna reach there effortlessly with 3 eras. And btw swift's biggest hit on spotify is collab whereas Adele's are her owns and sly a 2011 song had reached billion streams there already.

Without fearless tv, folklore and evermore her catalogue make more than 10 M daily streams. The only reason why her overall streams are not that big is because these albums weren’t available until 2017. She is a monster streaming (and pure sales and touring) and it’s time to start admiting it.

Madonna literally is a vivid gay supporter, and she is very much loved by lgbt people. They are her main demographic.

Celine makes ballads, her music is very listenable, and popular with the general public in general. That's why she sold millions more albums than Mariah who made more R&B music in the 90s.

Taylor's in the top 10 digital selling albums, you state here. In the overall list, only three artists seem to outsell her digitally: Rihanna, Eminem and Beyonce. Are there others who have not been studied who might beat her in this? I can't think of any right now.

Thank you for the comprehensive answer MJD. I remember a few years ago it seems very clear that Rihanna is the leader from her era, but I always felt like Taylor is sort of like a dark horse that will emerge as the top seller at the end. I think Rihanna probably overworked during her first 6-7 years because she released ridiculous amount of album and probably she needed a break from it.
