Hi. I’m a bit confused about what her best seller in Germany is (digital+physical). Is it I Kissed A Girl, Roar or Hot N Cold? I Kissed A Girl is her highest in the YEC, Hot N Cold is her longest #1 here (8 weeks), while Roar came out in the best time for digital sales. The teenage dream singles didn’t do well here.
I fear she needs an update so bad, Smile didn't sell that much but the numbers would be interessting
Because there is essentially nothing to update. As of Aug 2020 according to billboard she was missing about 10k album sales from Witness, 20k from PRISM, and OOTB was 20k overestimated in this article, for a net 10k gain. Based on how stagnant her career is I severely doubt there would be more than 25k pure to add max, excluding the new box vinyl set which had a pretty limited stock. Smile was at 67k US pure as of March 2021, and given it hasn't charted since late 2020, it is probably at no more than 75k. There is just nothing relevant to add because streaming numbers automatically update.
Why is her "singles CSPC result" just top 10 instead of top 15 as other singers? Who knows, please explain?
It tends to depend on when the article was written, if you check some earlier studied artists, they have no list of top CSPC tracks atvall, let alone a Top 10. It's not some vendetta against KP.

Great deal and now invest it properly. Even though her streams are good, there is no sure thing she would get same money in next decade Or two ( factoring inflation). Her chart top days are gone. But tv and tours will keep the money coming.
Probably not everything for Katy. Writing partners (Max Martin, John Myers...) and for the producers..
But any case a surprisingly large amount, expecially when the sales of catalogs have slow down and prices have come down.
Hey, how is it possible that Smile has 2.6M units from streaming and Witness 1.8M, when the only partform where Smile outdid it is Spotify (by a very thin margin not enough to justify a 800k album units gap by your method)?
Youtube didnt count on CSPC lists, right ? Cause makes no sense Witness has less streams than smile
Witness: More than 3 billion streams on youtube + 1.4 billion streams on spotify.
Smile: 700 million streams on Youtube + 1.5 billion streams on Spotify.
Prism has more than 10 billion streams on Youtube and more than 3.5 billion streams on Spotify. It has at least 4 or 5 times more streams than Smile. How can be only twice streams sales ?

YouTube views of course count on CSPC lists, they weren't retrieved for Smile though. That album wasn't out when studied. What happens here, is that as the algorithm only knows Smile's Spotify data, it uses the Spotify to EAS career average of Katy Perry to convert these streams into sales. So the YouTube views of Smile are calculated based on the average of One of The Boys, Teenage Dream, Prism, Witness and orphan songs' results, which obviously inflates its conversion as it performed much poorly there compared to its predecessors.
Quite possibly, if Katy Perry gets updated, this album would go down overall even with pure sales added, as they stand at 180k + 44k from Chinese downloads, which would be weighted at 75% on its case, plus songs' downloads but as we know these are very low these days.
It's weird this bias you have against Katy, it's been confirmed long time ago Teenage Dream surpassed 7 million physical copies, PRISM sold 4.5 million physical copies by the end of 2014 according to IFPI, Witness is Platinum certified in Mexico, that's 60k units and according to you, Smile sold 0 copies?
"Smile" sold not a zero . This data is for June 16 , 2019 . Before release of that album . Streaming is auto-updating .
Teenage dream finally getting acclaim because critical snubbed it when it was released. Now it is seen as perfect pop record. Such era can't be replicated in streaming era .
I really want to know hiw bad the 143 flopped, like it is sold like 10 percent of Smile which was not succesful for itself. Can you update her data? Will 143 will enter the biggest flops ever?
