Got it although I dont really Think radio AirPlay has such a huge impact on music sales and streams today. It's more about the playlists ur music's in on spotify/apple and well the last point u made. Michael' s catalog isnt even as huge though. Thank u so much for answering!

We can define them in very different way depending on the context. Here, since the context is Spotify streams, I filtered on artists who got nearly all their hits before 2009, with a career which started at least 25 years ago so that most of their streams are recurrent ones with their old hits.
They will and can as a foreign artist (Asian). Isn't that what happen to the band before them, mostly dismiss them because of their young age and so called rabid female fan? And only after most of them retired and perish then people only appreciate their music. I guess only time will tell.
Jake hi, sorry I just only read this. Not quite sure where the evidence is for you thinking that Queen are on a level with Madonna and The Rolling Stones? Its proven on here, if you look above, Queen are actually well ahead of everyone at the moment. Its there in black and white. 3 or 4 years time, not sure as we are still seeing the gains from the Bohemian Rhapsody movie but from what I understand Queen were still the number 1 legacy act even before that film was released. I'm always interested in any evidence to the contrary. Thanks. J
If song length plays such a significant factor in your stats, wouldn't it be more realistic to count by monthly listeners?
Every time I look at them MJ has a higher count of monthly listeners than the Beatles. Right now it is MJ 22,419,760 monthly listeners vs. the Beatles' 20,656,197. And it is usually like that (despite the Beatles having "new" material out this year - Abbey Road re-issue).
Granted, I do not follow this religiously, but every time I actually checked it, MJ was always ahead of the Beatles in monthly listeners. Maybe there was one time, when Yesterday came out when they briefly switched places, but then MJ overtook them again.

"Monthly Listeners", relates solely to unique listeners, not actual listens.
MJ could have 22.4m unique monthly listeners, who on average play his tracks 1.5 times, whereas The Beatles have 20.7m unique listeners, who on average play their tracks 1.8 times. so he gets 33.6m streams, they get 37.3m, over a month.

I don’t know if it’s just me , but I feel like people have a problem with non English speaking artists ( especially Asian artists ) yea they maybe different but isn’t that unique ? Bringing more cultures together , how come other artists are allowed to do that but when it comes to BTS for example , y’all go all ranting about stuff ... It’s a new decade , y’all gotta grow up . ( I’m not saying u have to like it , just learn to accept instead of judge..)
Why don't you take into account Katy's Feels which would add a total of 7.3B streams to her numbers? You consider everyone else's features except for Katy.
Can you update Wham and George Michael sales list since there was a huge increased in sales after his death and with the publicity he got from recent Last Christmas movie, maybe the sales are even bigger now.
I would comment this under the 'Spotify tool' post, but there is no comments allowed under it. Is it possible to add an option where you add a playlist link, and it shows the streams for the tracks included in that playlist? This is so if you wanted to see streams for a group of tracks by many artists you'd be able to see them at once, instead of doing every single artist individually.
Also Last Christmas song was the most streamed in UK during Christmas week. That's gotta be something.

I have Queen at 8,687,515,000 streams globally on Spotify as of January 1st 2020. I may have missed out something but I really was thorough on this.
I am talking about total CSPC.
They are a few millions above Madonna and RS, but miles away from Elvis....
The Spotify search tool only searches the main albums and singles sections on the artist page, NOT the "appears on" section. So tons of features are missing for tons of different artists. You have to manually add those numbers on which would take forever. If you would bother to read the article you would see he uses Rihanna as an example of missing about 6 Billion streams in features that the search tool doesn't get.
monthly listeners change everyday (even “drastically”) so you better check them manually.
i don’t think this is possible, but from the laptop app you can see the top 5 playlists that bring most listeners to that specific artist
