Well if you haven't noticed, physical sales are dead and we are in the streaming era. Therefore any newer artists being studied will be heavy on streaming and low on sales. That doesn't mean new artists should be ignored as if the music industry just stopped 5 years ago when sales truly died out.
Also it is not just "little kids" on streaming services. The under 40 crowd has fully embraced it, and the older crowd uses it more and more every year. I personally grew up at the height of the album sales era in the late 90s and 2000s but I haven't bought a physical album in almost ten years. I switched to spotify long ago. So there's no need to use condescending language just because you aren't keeping up with the times.
I couldn't help noticing their first single is called "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl", so I had to check the lyrics, and... yeah :
Good morning, little schoolgirl
Good morning, little schoolgirl
Can I go home with you?
Won't you let me go home with you
So I can hug, hug, squeeze, squeeze?
If you let me I can tease you baby
Hey, hey hey hey. Hey hey hey hey. Hey, yeah
Let's dance, little schoolgirl
Let's dance, little schoolgirl
Won't you let me take you to the hop, hop
Have a party at the soda shop
So we can do the twist, do the stroll
To the music of the rock 'n' roll
Hey, hey hey hey. Hey hey hey hey. Hey, yeah
Good morning, little schoolgirl
Good morning, little schoolgirl
Can I go home with you?
Won't you let me go home with you?
Tell your mama and your papa that I love you
Tell your sisters and your brother that I love you
Hey, hey hey hey. Hey, hey hey hey
Hey, hey hey hey. Hey, hey hey hey
Different times! 😆
You misunderstand, I do stream but I do believe it’s cheapened music enormously. Chart music today is awful and I won’t apologise for my opinion. It’s created cheaply because the record labels try to keep their costs down. If anyone thinks there is great music in the mainstream today then they’re kidding themselves. Any good music being made is not in the charts and that is a great shame.
Johnny Cash is greatest artist. He had style and looks, a long legged, hard working man, whose voice was a cello. Nowadays artists don't have a style or anything. Style is most important thing, said Charles Bukowski.
You make me laugh, Mikko. You are the master of, completely unrelated, random comments.
How the hell do they deserve an update and Madonna not????????????? like what...
R.I.P. Jeff. Very sad to read of his passing, one of the very, very best and most innovative guitarists ever.
