Anyway, this whole Madonna v Queen thing , needs to stop. The amount of complete and utter nonsense being typed, is quite simply ridiculous! Some of the stuff being brought up and into all this is beyond belief. Give it a rest for fuck sake!

Who says that communism was just in Europe? It was present in a part of Asia also. And if Madonna is “more famous” than Queen now, she would have more streams than them bruh. (Streaming is the 80% of sales produced all over the world in its different formats in 2019).
fame means you know her, but maybe you dont want to stream her, sis. If you ask them, they will tell you they know who xxxx is. Queen has a movie recently, thaat reminded most people of their legency., and so undoubtly being #5 best selling artist globally of 2019 acc to IFPI thanks to huge streams. If that people don’t want to stream her, then she is getting “”””””forgotten””””””. Queen is by now more famous and they will probably stay like that in the future. Like literally all the kids/teens know a Queen song or them, but it is not the same case with Madonna. Bohemian Rhapsody made a legacy with younger people, something that Madonna hasn’t done. Yes, Madonna is MADONNA, but she is not building a legacy as Queen does. Madonna is historically bigger but Queen is now more popular, and both things are facts.

Yes, Queen were doing exceptionally well before the movie, as mentioned on this very website back in 2017 - even if Madonna released another album Queen would still be overtaken her (that was long before the movie). And ... it happened. Queen overtook Madonna.

Yeah, Martin is right. Everybody please stop this Queen/Madonna dispute, it's getting childish and annoying. It was the movie that made it possible for Queen to obtain a higher eas than Madonna so please don't make it sound like it was Queen's doing.
No matter what they did, they didn't reach as high as Madonna's success. It was the movie that boosted millions of sales for the Queen. Queen released albums, did tours, etc but were never huge. But Madonna made records and has longevity.
