So I suppose our requests are just ignored now in favour of "Streaming Masters" and "Global Heatmap"...

Hi chartmasters.org team,

Can you at least give me an estimated total EAS of Aretha Franklin?

Hi Isaiah!

Definitely not. Tons of requested acts have been treated, but we take them off the list once we do, so it looks like we treated none 😉

Then, while votes are a part of the equation, we won't be automatically doing exactly what's voted. Let's face it, female singers are requested way more than others. The top 9 here are females, and we treated already like 100% of the really big selling female singers (ironically, the biggest ones missing, like Tina Turner, Gloria Estefan or Linda, Ronstadt aren't requested that much, nor those with the biggest album Carole King and Tracy Chapman). Most of these votes (typically for Nicki Minaj) have been made after a fan account on twitter promoted the link asking to vote, the ones doing these requests aren't real users of the site, they are long gone and won't even see the CSPC article of their request if published.

If you read older comments and see frequent requests of regular members, you'll notice most of them have been treated, and if not they will be sooner or later. And then again, votes are only one part of the equation, we can't ignore major selling artists just because they aren't voted. Tomorrow we will publish CCR, an act who sold more than all of the top 10 listed here that hasn't been already published!

I would love to see older divas being treated, like Tina Turner, Gloria Estefan, Diana Ross or Donna Summer. Tracy Chapman and Carole King are also missing as for the best-selling albums list.

Hi, once more I want to ask for Van Halen, Clapton and Santana because your work is all about the greatest artists- correct me if i'm wrong. So it is not fair to include artist with sells around 10 mln in US when there are several with 50 mln albums sold in US alone. I'd love to see the complete list of the greatest acts- they cannot be others than that with most RIAA certifications, only sequence can be different cos sellling in other countries is diffrent- but US is the biggest market so those should have been included in first place rather than new artist which could have been forgotten in 10 years from now- with all respect for them of course. Have a good day 🙂
