Laura Pausini has just released a new LP. I think she would be a great case to study as she really branched out to several markets out of her native one (Italy) and has remained a very consistent seller in Italy and South America. Her greatest hits album sold more than a million copies in France, she's sold a great deal of records in Spain and Belgium too. Furthermore, her spanish recordings always chart in the US Latin chart ... And she's a local european act, not your regular english-speaking act. 🙂

Luckily for readers, artists studied aren't only based on requests. The relevancy of the artist matters too. The RHCP crossed 300m Spotify streams with 2 pre-2000 songs, the first act ever doing so topping even MJ and Queen to it, so treating them is only natural, even more when they have 4 albums among the most successful albums of their respective years.
