ABBA would be #6 with around 70m albums sold (Pink Floyd sold 82m), U2 sold maybe 67m, less than the Stones.

I think you missed some artists, like Phil Collins (61 m), or 2016 researched Abba and Celine Dion, whose exact Europe totals I can't discover here, as well as those of the Rolling Stones

Céline Dion sold over 60m albums in Europe, the Stones around 69m. Dan's list is missing a bunch of acts indeed (Dire Straits, Johnny Hallyday...etc.) and I've no idea why he put U2 beneath Elton John...

Aside from Michael Jackson, does any other artist have a stronger top three albums by EAS than Pink Floyd?

As far as I can tell these are all artists with a top 3 of over 100m.

MJ -- 232,801,000
Pink Floyd -- 144,293,000
Eagles -- 122,868,000
Led Zeppelin - 117,960,000
Beatles -- 114,236,000
Celine Dion - 112,577,000
Whitney Houston - 112,369,000
Fleetwood Mac - 105,306,000
AC/DC -- 104,402,000
Madonna - 103,397,000
Guns N' Roses -- 103,329,000
U2 -- 100,049,000

Adele and Eminem will be the first from the 'Nielson-Era' (debut post 1991) to reach an 100m from their top 3.

You forgot Queen (108m). Also, Simon & Garfunkel are at 99.9m with their last update in 2018, so probably over 100m by now 😉

Thanks for the list.

Interesting that, according to the methodology used on this site, 'Thriller' is more successful than the biggest three albums combined for all other artists outside Pink Floyd and The Eagles!?!

Hi Chartmasters.org, I was just wondering if La Carrera PanAmericana album sales have been considered. Thanks. https://www.discogs.com/master/640728-Pink-Floyd-La-Carrera-Panamericana

Hi Mark, no the original analysis was relatively basic and didn't include many or any regional releases. If they were to be updated, everything would be included that is listed on Discogs. It's been a learning and growing process since the sites inception, with many new avenues explored and now used that we didn't have access to back in the day.

At the current rate, Taylor will be there faster than Eminem and Adele
