Hello, could you explain why the total Spotify numbers of definitely maybe is higher than the total auto update? That should also include video streams, so I expected the total auto update to be higher. Thanks in advance!
This is still the case: on Spotify, Morning Glory 's daily increase is 1,535 million, which generates a LD of 1640, which is in line with the formulas. Definitely Maybe however, has daily streams of 455k, so following MG's example, an LD of around 500 could be expected. Instead it's 'only' 390. I'd like to understand this, but I can't, so could someone explain?
Now, 6 years later, Oasis might get another UK no 1 album, with The Masterplan, a remastered album that didn't get to no 1 in '98. It'll probably be beaten by Swift, but their pure sales keep being healthy. Legendary anyway!
Morning Glory now reaching 30M EAS shows its ongoing appeal. With a LD growing and surpassed by only some 20 albums above it, and also still adding about 50k every year in pure sales, it might end up with the most popular 25/30 albums of all time.
Amidst the reunion talks, Definitely Maybe hits 10M, although with vinyl sales it already surpassed the threshold. Oasis becomes more legendary every day!
