I am talking numbers. If u cant digest the fact that her numbers are low, considering how people try to put her in league of big 5, they can be called out. Stating facts = negativity for fans and its fact she had career, bcoz of her brother. There is reason nepotism is called out everywhere.
Being Michael’s sister didn’t help her in anything. In fact this caused more barriers to her. Janet could come out of Michael’s shadow and build her own legacy. This is an anchievment that a few artist could. Janet’s sales really are low if we compare with her influence and status in music industry but she is a LEGEND!!! Period

Janet Jackson was a gifted dancer, performer and she could write songs. Madonna's only weak spot was vocals, as was Janet. They were better artists than Celine Dion or Whitney Houston. Those ladies had gifted voices but nothing else.
The producers and songwriters gave them all their songs. Please, don't downplay visual/dance/songwriting artists, just because they don't have powerful vocals. You sound delusional. And very shocking coming from a fan of a man that use not only shock value but homophobia, misogyny and domestic verbal violence to sell his music. + He benefited from white privilege (which he admitted), and Dr. Dre's connections to have a VERY successful career, in a very otherwise black male American dominated genre. Get real..
And btw, Janet Jackson's catalog is far more acclaimed by music critics than Celine Dion, Whitney Houston or Mariah. She even has an album inducted into the Library of Congress, so please.... Yes, they are more popular but that doesn't make Janet less than them. Nor does it call for you to speak with a wicked tongue regarding her legacy!!!

2. Music critics widely consider Janet to be one of the greatest pop artists of all-time, you can keep saying she has "no talent" but that'll only make you look like a pathetic hater.

Yeah, but you're only pointing out negatieve numbers. She actually seems quite global like Sade, just a little less in Europe. 4 albums above 10 M EAS is very good, at least better than Gaga, Rihanna, Britney and, probably just for now, Adele. That being said, she was never in the the top league of course, and not very well remembered, but not much less than Madonna, Céline or Sade.
SADE is on the same level as Janet, Janet is bigger in US but Sade in Europe.
But Janet's streams are extremely low, which puts her at a disadvantage.
Sade has less releases and better average. And she has great success in usa as british. On album basis she outsold janet
Even 2010 album did better than janet's 2000s releases and her music is timeless passing through generations. Janet was hitmaker of her time in usa atleast, but her music has failed d test of time.
Sade is a soul/jazz band consisting of three white men and a black woman, comparisons with Janet are pointless and irrelevant.
Janet's streams are similar to Madonna or Céline Dion, it's just that they sold three times more albums than her so of course they have three times more streams (Madonna also had significant success in the 2000s, which helps when it comes to streaming).
She also has way more streams than La Toya Jackson, I'm curious how Eminemfan would explain that 😆
Exactly I don’t know lots of young people from the new generation who knows 1 song from Madonna (Vogue maybe at least…) Celine yeah maybe with Titanic song but their catalogue are not classics like Queen or Michael and Janet did RnB new jack swing a musical genre who belongs to a certain era and doesn’t exist anymore.. and Janet has been less active in the past 10 years than both

Janet Jackson is probably the most impactful female artist ever bar Madonna. Her talent and creativity really inspired tons of artists that came after.
With that being said, she is also the most forgotten LEGEND ever. Not even one of her songs really stood the test of time. Even Kylie Minogue and Enya have atleast one song each that reminds the public of their presence. It pisses me off because she got great discography.

She never was... It's not that difficult to understand, Céline sold three times more albums than Janet so she has three times more streams, it's logical and expected.
