True Michael!
At the end of the day, 50 million EAS is 50 million persons giving you $12 to listen to your work. It's incredibly amazing. People are so used to see numbers of the very top sellers that they forget it takes an immense success to build a career from 0 to even 1 million EAS! We should always keep in mind that behind each "EAS" there is a real person liking the music of the artist 🙂
Exactly. Not really a fan of hers. But people seems to unfairly belittle her achievement all simply because shes not as successful as Britney. That is kind of dumb to me. As you have mentioned before if you compare her achievement to the likes of Moore, Simpsons, all of which were her rivals at their peak. Her achievement was definitely massive. And to be honest I dont think Jessica Simpson did that bad either. She herself managed to get multiple platinum records in the US.
Stripped passed 2 million in the UK officially back in 2017. The figure you have for it is from 2006 i believe.
That stripped figure from the UK is from 2006. I believe Stripped crossed 2 million sales there back in 2017.
Have you taken into consideration that Back To Basics was sold as a double album price wise in the states? I bought my copy at FYE (this store no longer exists) for $23.99 which is insanely expensive for an album. Even Best Buy, Target, Walmart were selling it for over $17 during black friday & Xmas 2006 when all albums were discounted and the most expensive album was at most $9.99.
MJD can you break down her sales in Korea? I've read before that her debut album was big there and it was re-released many times.
Hi,MJD!

Her debut album sold 100k in Italy in 15 days.

Her debut album sold 80k in Brazil while selling 6 million in US.
Also, the album sold over 200k in SK and 100k in TW, I don't think that the album only sold 535k in Southeast Asia...
Haha ya I'm curious to see how her last album did. I always wish these older acts can crack the 1 million CSCP with their new albums but I realize that isn't the case for most 90s pop acts anymore.
Also, why have you not included Keeps Getting Better (album) or Mi Reflecto?
You say you don't favour Britney over Christina but for some reason Britney has had her pages updated April of this year even though she hasn't done anything in 3 years, Christina released an album last year plus the 2 albums you have decided not to include . . . . hmmm
Hi Michael!
I suppose that before getting into childish fanatical comments you would better read the article correctly! All her releases up to the date of the article are included in their appropriate sections.
BTW, we are very transparent about everything, you may want to check our about us page. Stephen is a fan of Britney, I'm very fin with that, because he is trustable and puts accuracy over his musical preferences. I'm obviously not a Britney fan as everyone who know me are aware of, and I validated all fixes. Her update wasn't a comprehensive one either, it was hoping fixing errors since new data has been identified. Stephen also worked a lot in getting updates done about divas that are supposed to be Britney's rivals, actually raising their totals way more than these updates of Britney.
Another word about that, I always invited anyone willing to contribute to join us. If there was a fan of Gaga as good as Stephen willing to update her more frequently and with time to do so, I would be very happy. In a perfect world, there would be a fan of Beyonce, Madonna, Taylor, Janet, Mariah, Celine, Rihanna, Katy, etc, etc, assisting us on getting their articles updated in a monthly basis, but also fans of Metallica, Led Zeppelin, BTS, Ed Sheeran, or whoever. I do not hesitate to share our templates, formulas and all. Obviously, it's easier to be part of the hater group that does nothing but complain about anything that doesn't please them! 😉
