400k physical sales in 2017 is huge, especially for an album of 2006. "Back to Black" is really a catalog beast
Considering the last update was about 3.5 years ago and B2B is such a strong catalog seller what would the pure sales be estimated at nowadays... 16.5mil? 17mil? How does the continuing decrease of physical sales, yet the renaissance of vinyl affect Back To Black?
I'd say a little over 17m, i.e. the third best selling album of the last 20 years (just above Evanescence's Fallen).
Hello. As Amy’s birthday is arriving, it’d be interesting to know what her biggest digital/physical singles are in the main markets (US, UK, Germany, France, South Korea, Australia) similar to what you did with Katy Perry. The album is still selling well even in the USA (which was one of its weakest markets). It sold 50k in France in 2021 for instance and constantly charts in Australia and the UK. Also appearances in Germany, Switzerland and the US once in a while which is amazing. Surely the album is near 17m by now. Hope you would reply to this. It’d be amazing to know.
