What is 30's total EAS? 5 million? Quite a fall for her standards , but anyways 100 million with 4 eras is huge achievement, especially for non american artist. And i think best selling european women. And i think with 4 eras, her decade end total will be around114 to 120 million EAS. Average of 28 to 30 million per era. But another long gap won't be good for her next album. Still 13 years was a great run. She can't afford another big gap, unless she is ok with flopping.
já ultrapassou 3 milhões só contando uk e us. kkkkkkkkk
inclusive no mundo ela vendeu 5 milhões em cópias puras só no ano passado. (43 dias)
I 100% agree that now is not the time for Adele to take a long break if she wants to keep her career going strong. The '30' era might as well be called the Easy on Me era because that is the single that is defining the era and the only thing most people will take away from it. However many people are moving on from that song already, and her other singles really aren't taking off even with amazing playlist support. I think her best move would be to hit the studio and come up with something big for 2023. Maybe even do a couple big soundtrack songs in between.
30 is probably around 5 or 5.5 million EAS now, and the road to 10 million will be long.
I feel she is losing ground, as a lot of artists do after there 4 th album. She needs to change things up a bit, as a lot of people find her boring and same old stuff. She won’t beat her 21 sales unless sh does.
30 is already out of top 10 , spending less time than even albums of like Ariana's positions, it's definitely not flop but its flopping right now which will be clear by next coming weeks as holiday boost is already over and clearance sales are completely out ...everyone was expecting her and very much confidently to break scorpion or certified lover boy spotify record but it couldn't go even half way ... which is strange after she had two huge online/tv concerts with 10-15 million viewers and easy on me getting 24 million streams alone ... either people just moved on quickly or everyone was stunned by those projections at every monument ... i just am not able to make sense of it... i mean especially after first 6-7 months physical sales would dry up as everyone who wanted bought it and streams are already declining fastly so no new audience is being attracted... and no one can say that album wasn't promoted ... what i think is of @MJD comment few months ago about rihanna and adele being horses that are no longer in race or are just wounded ... he really saw it coming
I just think she waited way too long to release '30'. Ideally she needed to release the follow up to '25' within two or three years of it's release. Six years is a huge gap between albums even for the biggest artist. People lose interest and move on. I'll be surprised if she has any more big/successful albums.
Still, as you say, she had a great run and her long term numbers from the material she has already release will probably continue to grow at a steady pace...
Alot has changed too since 2015. This is her first album in the streaming era and well, it might have performed better than the rest but pales compared to her standard. Nonetheless, not all artist gets that kind of success with 6 years gap between releases. EOM also surprisingly is stable on the charts. Funny how she's still at the top despite all that lol.
Waiting another 4-6 years for a new album will kill her career as a mega-seller, I believe Adele needs to act now to ensure '30' is a bigger success. She should re-release the album with new songs, ideally more than 5 or 6, a brand new lead single and then another single with the re-release that is a major collaboration. Perhaps a power ballad with Lady Gaga, a more adult oriented audience embraced her with A Star is Born so there is overlap there and it wouldn't turn off her core buyers while still providing a good boost in streams. She needs to get this album to over 10M units and get more hits other than "Easy On Me".
I mean we first gotta stop acting as if this a complete failure. The only thing that she had mishandled is actually promoting and doing her job as a performer. But the album alone did will despite it being botched in every way possible. By the time MJD gets around to update the pure sales and everything else its going to end up between 7-8 million- on par and surpassing some of the biggest albums of the decade like Folklore, Sour and Planet Her. if that isn't a testament to her continued appeal than everyone else are nobodies.
lol this album had promotion just because it flopped doesn't mean it wasn't promoted
For real 30 won't surpass Folklore, Planet Hour let alone Sour. IFPI report includes shipments although in reality there's like million unsold copies of 30 right now. Its pure sales is collapsing right now meanwhile streaming wise it's performing even worse. Everyone needs to accept that this album doesn't stick unlike her previous albums, it's serving poor longevity.
it already surpassed Folklore what are you talking about
it is the BEST SELLING ALBUM OF 2021, current BEST SELLING ALBUM OF 2022
it has a song that spent 10 WEEKS #1 BILLBOARD HOT 100
without a single live performance in the USA for year 2022.
in pure sales it is, folklore is ahead in EAS and will likely remain so seeing how fast 30's sales and streams collapsed
she did live tv shows ... are they not counted or .. it is not best selling of 2021 ..sour is ...
Would love to see an update for her seeing as she's struggling to sell even two-thirds of her initial shipment for 30. Everyone is throwing around inflated IFPI numbers but I have been unable to find a source for the actual pure sales of the album outside the USA.
it has sold ~500k pure in the UK, ~300k in Germany and ~200k in France. I'd out it around 1.3m in Europe. that + it sold ~120k in Canada and ~80k in Australia.
~30k in Japan. ~290k in China.
I'd estimate the sales total outside of USA to be somewhere around 1.9m but that's just my vague guessing.
When will we know 30's pure figure? Anyone wants to share their estimates?
So that would mean around 6 million EAS now, great for this age, though not as great as her last albums
Hi Romel!
She is 2nd in the current pipe for updates now that Malone has been posted. Next up are BTS, then Adele!
May I ask for a list of updates like your recent plans for updates? Now that Gaga has released Top Gun, I wonder if you will update her sales anytime soon? Or P!nk who has released several albums, or Taylor who are the best selling female artist for years? Thanks a lot!
Hi Gaga!
This is the current planning as we've set it a few weeks back. Obviously, depending on many factors, there can be delays or a change in the sequence, but for now that's how we are planning it (+Bad Bunny in upcoming days):
13/05 Kendrick Lamar
20/05 Harry Styles
27/05 Dua Lipa
03/06 Post Malone
10/06 BTS
17/06 Adele
24/06 P!nk
01/07 The Weeknd
08/07 Arctic Monkeys
15/07 Billie Eilish
22/07 Imagine Dragons
29/07 Taylor Swift
05/08 Lana Del Rey
12/08 Olivia Rodrigo
19/08 Lil Nas X
26/08 Doja Cat
02/09 Coldplay
09/09 Drake
16/09 Bruno Mars
23/09 Shawn Mendes
30/09 Juice Wrld
07/10 Maroon 5
14/10 Lady Gaga
21/10 Ed Sheeran
28/10 Sam Smith
04/11 Ariana Grande
11/11 Beyonce
So far, we have a dozen of artists that we can update easily thanks to our recent automatization efforts / tools that we use in background. Our target here is to move a dozen more artists among these 'easy' ones (like P!nk or Beyonce), so that we can update them more frequently in the future.
