I'm afraid that not . It has to be at 7,5-7,6 million EAS mark , I think . That album has low dynamic .
It's not at 10M and it's not at 7.6M. It factually has sold +800k pure sales since the last update over a year ago. So it must be around 8-9M
i think it's time to update 30's pure sales. the album has clearly moved past +4M pure sales ever since the last update. it should be nearing 9M CSPC WW by now.
Midnights is at 4.1m, Adele was at 3.7m as of June 24th 2022. Considering 30 has charted very low globally since then, there is quite literally no way it's matching Midnights, which grows at 10k+ weekly.
Can you fix the "Orphan" part that includes Skyfall streams? It's been getting traction recently doing 800k daily on Spotify and possibly reaching 1M soon.
It will happen now with the release of 1989 TV. Taylor takes the #3 place for females.

Her streams has picked up thnx to German tour. I wish she did a worldwide tour and her whole discography will get the streaming boost. 21 songs are going viral. Legendary album
Sad for 30. Even with pure sales update it won't touch ten million soon. She really didn't make album for streaming. And lacked the commercial and crossover appeal of 21,25
Lmao 30 already surpassed 10 million units a long time ago. Pure sales are over 5 million pure units. This is out dated.
The album did not sell 10m CSPC nor 5m pure. An update wouldn't add much to the album at all, it hasn't been selling relevant units for long.
Fans are still repeating that 5m claim just because they don't understand the difference between shipping and selling. 30 shipped nearly 5m in 2021, and them fans added subsequent over the counter units to it, but that's not how it works. The album had heavy returns, it never came close at selling 5m to consumers, its sales during 2022 from an industry point of view were negative by over a million.
so now 30 sales in 2022 were negative, you know that does't make any sense at all, in countries like Spain 30 has sold almost the double since the last update and how strange is that the only album that has unsold shipments is 30. You all are showing your true colors
You may not understand how the music industry works, and that's fine, but don't insult others from a place of ignorance.
Overshipments are very common for strong pure sellers, especially Q4 releases. Adele's 30 is a very clear and documented example. It went 3xP in the US on January 12, 2022 with total SPS sales of just 2m at the time. Since streaming numbers cannot be overshipped, the extra certified units came from overstocked physical copies. By the end of 2022, with SPS, the album was at 2.8m, still below its tally certified at the start of the year, meaning a net shipment of at least minus 200k in the US alone. Notably, the 3× Platinum certification was later removed from the RIAA database.
The fact that the album continued charting throughout 2022 is irrelevant, it does not mean it sold enough that year to account for the excess shipment as of December 31, 2021. Worldwide the story was the same as in the US, by the time I updated pure sales in mid-2022, the album was still 1.3m below the amount of copies shipped in 2021 according to the IFPI, with weekly sales dropping to fewer than 5,000. How do you expect sales not to be negative for 2022?
very interesting!
after i read also your article on the projection for it, do you think this album flopped? i think it did not flop but was a clear dissappointment. easy on me was a hit, but after that the public did not put any interest in the album
It's debatable, this is the typical case of an album performing well below the past standards of an artist, but still doing great numbers in absolute terms. I would lean toward saying that it did ok mainly because 8m is still one hell of a total, and its recurrent streams are pretty decent, 40% of 21's ongoing streams. We are looking at an album that will cross 10m in the long run, and we can't exclude the possibility of one of its tracks going viral too.
