Harry Styles stands at 15.27 million equivalent album sales some 5 years after debuting his solo trip.
This number is especially impressive once we consider his entire output was made of only 24 songs up to yesterday.
Expect some out of this world numbers for Harry’s House in upcoming weeks.
Singles CSPC results
The list is compiled in album equivalent sales generated by each song. Therefore, these figures are not merged units of singles formats. Instead, it includes weighted sales of the song’s physical single, download, ringtone and streaming as well as its share among sales of all albums on which it is featured.

his success in the physical sales format is very telling of his selling power and appeal. a solo artist debuting in 2017 selling 2m copies out of a 2020 album is unheard of.
he’s gonna do great things commercially this decade.
Never would I’ve picked him out when somebody had asked me 10 years ago the member most likely to succeed with a solo career. Zayn was always the frontrunner for me.
Harry has always been the favorite of the group’s fandom for a reason or another, he always had the most potential imo. does help that he’s the only member that makes consistently decent/good solo music. Zayn had a few hits but most of his solo work is underwhelming. Niall might have good singles but he lacks the star power. the other two i can’t even name a song from which says a lot about them.
Liam Payne actually had a Billboard Hot 100 top 10 with “Strip That Down”, which has more streams than any Niall song.
Fine line really became a massive era in end and selling out arenas. Boy gonna make bank. His companies already reported tens of millions in profits anyways.
I feel a Zayn study would be interesting, although technically his latest albums have been ‘flops’, he still has a sizeable stream count for 3 albums, and he apparently is very successful in Asia, so i’d be interested in his figures there
one direction update for their 11th anniversary? 🥺🥺
As much as I like the detailed articles this is a great move to better reflect fast growing newer artists that don’t benefit of decades long careers and many more releases. Hopefully you guys put out a lot of these too
Only if Zayn cared. More talented. Can sing and worldwide visual without white privilege. But his health matters more. He couldve such a good solo career
i agree, but him refusing to promote or do live performances as well as an overly daunting 30 song album really killed his momentum. Doesn’t help that his latest album isn’t the greatest either
also i love the new format that adds Pure singles sales and streaming in one section but i think you forgot his Singles CSPC results tho
Hi MJD!
Great article, this new-shorter format with pure single sales included in the same graphic as the streams is amazing.
Just a little correction, the text says “xiami streams” but the graphic says “QQ streams”.
Well spotted HasBeyn, this is fixed!
Hi guys! While our main work remains on Deep Purple, with this article we are introducing what we will call ‘Light CSPCs’. The goal is to test a format that in backend is way faster to complete (an to update) in order to put new successful artists inside the all-time list and let the automatic calculations reflect how they are growing. This will also enable us to get a more complete view of annual best selling albums in recent years. While the format is much shorter, in terms of data nothing is missing really, the point is to apply it… Read more »
Hey MJD ! would Halsey and Cardi B be a ‘Light CSPC’ that you could maybe do ???
Hi L145!
I would say both are really borderline at the moment, they are close to have a discography too large to fit there!
what size discography would you say is the right size for this format?
Let say at most 40-50 distinct songs recorded and no compilation/music video!
nicki is finally coming so true 🤸♀️
Her CSPC is very predictable anyways, no album standing above 8M CSPC or 3M pure & over 20M CSPC in features
Hehe, I would say that Nicki is along with Sinatra and Lil Wayne the most obvious choices among my “top 10 nightmares”, not even close to be easy 😉
It has been a pain for several years to estimate track downloads for prolific new artists as now certs include streams, so it requires to check pure sales charts week by week to build good estimates, for hundreds of songs. It’s worst than 70s artists with dozens of albums to be honest.
Luckily, it is getting much easier now as you will soon be able to see!
really good idea to keep us on the site whilst you do the main articles! I’m also glad you did Harry first!
Is there anyway you could still keep the cspc tracks sales though?
also how regularly will these be coming out?
It’s funny you are two mentioning it almost instantly, we had this discussion like 2 hours ago!
I was more tempted by removing that section completely since for these artists the top CSPC tracks will be near identical to the top streaming+sales tracks. Anthony was favorable to keep a short songs’ top, so this can be added easily if that’s wanted 🙂
definitely Keep it MJD ! while the ranking might be identical the CSPC Singles Results figures are appreciated
You can just do the singles which nicki as a lead artist, and album sales for her
The top songs is added 🙂
I like it! It gives a good insight in pure single results!
