CSPC: Destiny’s Child Popularity Analysis

Streaming Part 2

Up to 382,000 EAS, Survivor almost matches its predecessor strong results. The title track (114 million), Bootylicious (70 million), Independent Women Part I (61 million) and Emotion (22 million) all stood relevant up to this day. Album tracks aren’t big but that many strong hits from the same catalog album is well enough to accumulate a big total.

Already a relatively modest seller upon release, the Christmas effort of the group isn’t doing too much in streaming even if it is over 65,000 EAS level.

Out of all the hits, people really choose Bills Bills Bills to go viral on TikTok and I love it.

Hey MJD. Please do a popularity analysis on Boyz 2 Men, TLC and New Edition. They are the biggest rnb groups of the 90s and you even have one for Aaliyah who wasn’t a big crossover success. New Edition is different because the spin off projects did well too ( mainly Bobby Brown) which is unusual for any group so please add that.

Oscar Reyes

Hey can you do a popularity analysis on Fifth Harmony? They debuted the same year as Ariana Grande with a similar amount of releases but they’re pretty much disbanded now and they’re last era flopped pretty hard so it’s not like their numbers are gonna increase much

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
