Streaming World: Back To 2012

2012 TOP 100 HITS – #7

Bruno Mars – Locked Out Of Heaven – 407 148 000

Bruno Mars completes his hat trick with Locked Out of Heaven to make him the only artist with 3 songs inside the Top 20. Locked was the lead single of Unorthodox Jukebox, an album first regarded as commercially disappointing. Time gave its verdict one more time and established this LP as one of the most successful records of the decade, which doesn’t come as a surprise when we notice its first three singles all ranked so high on this list.

Do I need to say that Locked was a #1 single in the US and Top 10 all over the World? Or that the song is climbing this ranking too, as it was #11 in a similar chart dated end of 2014?

Carly Rae Jepsen has actually had a couple of other hits since “Call me maybe”. “Good time”, with owl City, was a top 10 hit in various markets (US, UK, Japan, France, Belgium, Australia). “I really like you” was a european hit in 2015 (#3 in the UK, top 20 in The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, Denmark). It also reached the top 20 in her native Canada and Japan. Well, that’s about it. 🙂
