2012 TOP 100 HITS – #19
Of Monsters And Mens – Little Talks – 299 013 000
Who would have guess this song would be riding so high back in the day? Initially released in their native Iceland in 2011, the song broke over the globe in 2012. While the song got a notable hype online and was heavily used on advertisings and videos of every kind, it wasn’t a major airplay hit. Little Talks failed to make the Top 10 in the US, the UK and France. It remains a cherished tune among music lovers though. Its streams can testify for that – the song is on its way to break the 300 million criteria.
Carly Rae Jepsen has actually had a couple of other hits since “Call me maybe”. “Good time”, with owl City, was a top 10 hit in various markets (US, UK, Japan, France, Belgium, Australia). “I really like you” was a european hit in 2015 (#3 in the UK, top 20 in The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, Denmark). It also reached the top 20 in her native Canada and Japan. Well, that’s about it. 🙂
Born to die really is a streaming monster, she is one of the top 10 most streamed females on spotify!
i wonder how ultraviolence would do in a 2014 list
