Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Ray Dalton – Can’t Hold Us584 462 000

There is no doubt that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were successful in 2013. The smash Can’t Hold Us sold slightly less than Thrift Shop during their respective first months as the cannibalization factor played its role. In the long run though, it won the battle by making this list at #3 while the previous hit was #9.

Don’t get it wrong, Can’t Hold Us was still a massive success upon release. The track led the Hot 100 as many as 5 weeks. In the UK it peaked at #3 with 33 weeks charted inside the Top 75. It was also a Top 3 hit in Australia, Germany, France and Canada among others. As every song charting high on this list, this hit lasted forever on charts. Among others, it sat more than 60 weeks inside the weekly rankings of each France, Germany, Netherlands and Sweden. The track sold nearly 10 million downloads to date to go along its 584 million streams at Spotify.

  1. Born to die really is a streaming monster, she is one of the top 10 most streamed females on spotify!
i wonder how ultraviolence would do in a 2014 list

  2. Carly Rae Jepsen has actually had a couple of other hits since “Call me maybe”. “Good time”, with owl City, was a top 10 hit in various markets (US, UK, Japan, France, Belgium, Australia). “I really like you” was a european hit in 2015 (#3 in the UK, top 20 in The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, Denmark). It also reached the top 20 in her native Canada and Japan. Well, that’s about it. 🙂
