Justin Bieber Career CSPC Results
So, after checking all the figures, you must be looking for how many overall equivalent album sales each Justin Bieber record achieved. Well, at this point we don’t need to add up all of the figures defined in this article!
In the following table, all categories display figures that way, e.g. in equivalent album sales. For example, Believe singles released in download format sold the equivalent of 2,190,000 albums – 21,900,000 downloads with a 10 to 1 weighting.
This is it! The extreme exploitation around My World that went from the One Time single in 2009 all the way to theaters with the Never Say Never movie, passing by an EP, an album, a live set, a remix set and a DVD / Bluray release building a notable 16,3 million total. This is one more example of the CSPC necessity as analysing just the studio album will provide you a very deflated view of an era’s success.
Both Under The Mistletoe and Orphan Album are up to great totals for those categories, while Believe at 8 million is much higher than many would have guessed.
If all those totals were achieved by milking the artist’s dedicated fan base, during each era with various products released, the Purpose album truly broke a mainstream audience. At 14,2 million and counting, this record already passed ahead of Eminem‘s Recovery, Taylor Swift‘s 1989, Bruno Mars‘ Doo-Wops & Hooligans and is quickly going after Rihanna‘s Good Girl Gone Bad and Katy Perry‘s Teenage Dream wings.
All told, Justin Bieber sold 46,6 million equivalent album sales. With the transition to adult years perfectly completed, and his new status of truly huge selling pop star, no doubt this total will go up at a fast pace from now into the future. With his ongoing catalog digital appeal and newly released hyped featuring’s, breaking 50 million before the end of the year appears to be a safe bet.
As usual, feel free to comment and / or ask a question!
